I think it will be poorly reviewed or given an incomplete or score pending because of a lack of content, at least until the updates hit by August.
Having said that it accomplishes what Nintendo seems to strive for 1st.......It is great fun for anyone willing to try it.
It isn't destined to fail but it may suffer as a game that seems kinda incomplete and an experiment at launch. Nintendo needs to hype the updates at E3 during the Treehouse segments
Did you even try it? The controls are good, maybe not the way you want them but they are not bad. Motion controls were fluid and instinctual after a couple rounds and traditional controls were smooth for a basic demo / stress test.
Seemed that way until a team of apparently well trained shooters had 2 guys taking out every squid while the other 2 painted 79% of the map. I think as we all get better the roller will be less dominate, at least as a front line weapon.
If I can make it....the times are kinda odd for the eastern time zone.
Game looks fun and I want to try it out to see if I want to make the investment or not

Path of Radiance would be a nice addition considering the rarity of the game. Could even combine it with Radiant Dawn for 1 nice HD compilation. Not that HD would help really but the rarity of both and the added popularity of FE after Awakening may help sell the games
The Fire Emblem is clearly me wishing for what I want and not what makes logical sense. Although if it was an HD retread of the Radiant series or a group of the older games it might be possible. I'm just realizing that FE v SMT is more of the standard RPG then a FE game. Not a bad thing, just me hoping for a FE game to play on my big screen.

I hope (wish is probably a better term) Intelligent Systems is working on a proper Fire Emblem for Wii U....even if it is a remake or compilation of older titles. I want to find out what Retro and Next Level are up too and an announcement or 2 from exclusive 3rd party games. With Legend of Kay, Sky Soldier, Devils 3rd, Project Cars, maybe COD, GH Live, the rest of 2015 should feel a little more full, game wise, then the last few years.
I want it to be critically acclaimed because I love Xenoblade Chronicles and I want this to succeed in every way possible so we have an opportunity for more RPG's from MonolithSoft and Nintendo in general but 8.5 is a good score and I know I will enjoy this game.
Hopefully we get a western release date at E3

If the systems were backwards compatible you would have access to any games you missed out on last generation.....
Remakes, collections, and remasters can be awesome.....but 1-3 year old games don't need the upgrade. Spend the time remastering the great titles from the late 90's early 00's.
This is where I hope DeNA can step in. Lets get an app that allows you to chat with anyone on your Wii U / 3DS friend list anytime you like using another smart device. Does that solve random match chatting, NOPE! But it would allow a quick easy way to chat with your friends while gaming and wouldn't put any stress on the game or system. Not a perfect solution but one that would solve some of the "content built for all" perspective that Nintendo takes when designing their prod...

It takes some time to get use to but is a fun game. Well worth the $15-20 you will pay for it now
Another game released thia year is a good thing. Hopefully it is something unexpected
I hope it is a unique RPG but the characters remind me of a clash of clans or one of those kids mobile mmorpg's.
