Welcome Home.
If I buy it I'll go with best buy and the $20 gift certificate.
At least now madden will have some competition .
You'd be surprised, considering amazon was giving a $20 credit and the game includes a free movie ticket.
Microsoft is more than willing to give the people what they want. They want halo, gears of war and forza. Also throw in some xbl games and that's it. They're guaranteed to make money. That's good business, and all the while they spend their resources on making the Xbox a potent media hub. There it is, I dont know what the next box will be, but the the last years of the current Xbox gives us a good indication of what the the future holds.
People always say "if you don't want it you don't have to buy it ". That is only half true, you don't have to buy it. But without it you can't play on line or access their other online services. Seeing how their most popular titles are very popular on line, I would say yes you have to buy it.
Personally I think it should be free, but microsoft is running a business. If they can get away with charging for online and other media content, I say more power to them. That's not the issue, the issue is people have a choice. People chose to buy live, cant blame microsoft for capitalizing on this opportunity.Microsoft markets their products so well they could sell ice to an Eskimo.
Yes, unfamiliar territory. Unlike the wii that was inexpensive and innovating, the wii u is expected to perform as well if not better than the competition. And in order for it to be competitive it will have to be comparably priced. This is an different time, gaming has gone main stream and is a multi billion dollar industry. Everyone has to cater to the casual market, specs alone aren't enough to lure the same wii crowd. The casual crowd will be wooed by price and not by specs and games a...
That's going to be very interesting, I'm curious to see how they do it. Theyre In unfamiliar territory, now they'll have to put out a console that is as powerful as an xbox or ps3 and be profitable on day one.
All those games they previewed are good, but how is that going to lure the casual Wii crowd which was a good portion of their success this gen. If its on par or slightly better than the Xbox or ps3, how are they going to convince people to spend more on their console over their competitors? The Wii was a success because it was innovative and inexpensive, this time it'll be a challenge to replicate that success.
There'd be no need for speculation if Nintendo would release price and specs. I think they're rethinking their pricing strategy, that's why we haven't heard anything.
It's still odd that they didn't announce a release date or price at E3. When else would be a good time to make the announcement? Anybody else think it'll be priced at $350 or more?
No you don't, there aren't any games for it. /s
So when is it launching again?
Maybe not gone, but they'll have a hard time matching the wii's success.
Regardless of the specs, the only thing that matters to the consumer is the price. If its priced at $399 or more, they're going to have a hard time competing with a $199 Xbox or $249 ps3. Maybe that's why they haven't released any specs, they're probably trying to find a cheaper way to make them so they can be able to compete with Xbox and ps3.
With all those sales numbers you would figure they'd put out more exclusive games. Yesterday's conference says otherwise. They don't even have to try anymore. Yes I know they still have halo, gears and forza.
After this conference, how can you not want a ps3. They have a bunch exclusives and online is free. And that's only two of the many perks the ps3 has.
What happened to steel battalion at e3? Did I miss it?
Now I definitely need a bigger memory card.
