Sony also needs to work on this, but that's because they don't own these IPs, so there will always be problems with getting those publishers to let Sony put them on the PS Store. Nintendo, however, owns the Mario and Zelda IPs. There should be no excuse why they won't be available on the Wii U Shop, unless they have to re-optimize these games to work on the Wii U.
It's absolutely fine to jump in on any Pokémon games. Black 2/White are sequels to the original Black/White, but it's not really needed to know the story there. It's not like the MGS games were you HAVE to have played the other games in order to even understand one tiny thing.

... I bought comics on the PS Store. Sure, most of them were Marvel comics, but I still bought a lot of comics. Not 100 comics big, but maybe around 50.
I hope this comes to Vita. If it does, and new comics (adding manga would be EVEN BETTER!) do come out (I want to read the new 52 and stuff like AvX, but don't have a bookstore near me), I promise to at least buy two comics a week on the PS Store.

How many of the PS360 launch games were actually ports? I'm not 100% sure, but aren't most of them sequels? Might as well call the Wii U launch lineup "ports" then, seeing as how games like Just Dance 4, Scribblenauts, NSMBWiiU, etc already had games come out before the Wii U. And what is that? That was 15 years ago. Technology has advanced a lot since then... The game had all sorts of contents, that the PS1 discs weren't able to fit in all on 1 disc. With the DVD, you can fit all of FFVII on one disc, and maybe even include FFVIII and IX. With Bluray, you can fit ALL FF games in one disc.
