I would agree with you but even last year switch version look better than last year PS3 version and it had more of newer gameplay that the PS4 version had PS3 didn’t have any of those in their legacy version

Each game have Pokémon you will not find in the other version, so no you do not need to own both, but you need someone online a random person to get the version of Pokémon you did not get so you can trade with him or her to complete your Pokédex.

Sony did that because it was coming to the PS4 also. Majority of the sales from that game is bundle sales doubt it sold over 5 million without a bundle they basically gave that game away if you had a PS4 the first 3 years, every website also, Groupon had it for 10 dollars
