Man you don't have a clue. The jump we seen with this gens launch titles to games now was because developers were still building there engines, figuring out what works and writing the code for this gen. With the Wii U all those engines are built and companies have loads of the latest code to use. Just because Zombie U looks a bit better than most games out doesn't mean you will see later Wii U games look heaps better. Just some logic here.

What happened was Lightbox released a very unbalanced game and people got wind of this. They also took some of the best features that were in warhawk and made them worse in starhawk. Then sprinkle in all the other games like Max Payne 3 and Dragons Dogma that released around the same time and also haven't sold what they should have then I would say summer software sales is down and people do more research on the games they buy these days.
Lol a handful of exclusive games? more like outside 100 or so exclusives. I really hate this Jim dude. Let me explain why people buy consols. You can relax better when playing them, they hook up to your tv so less room and they have dozens of great games you'll never find on PC. Plus you don't have to upgrade them every few years to run the latest games
Having great graphics never stops someone from getting submerged into the story. Some of the best stories this gen have had great graphics and even the first Bioshock game had great graphics for the time it released. Sometimes it really pisses me off when people say "Would you rather have great graphics or a great game?" Why not have both?
Go play pong or Mario bros 1 and then tell me graphics don't matter. Why ask for a FF7 remake if you don't care for grap...

DX 11 is next gen lol. Its 3 years old. DX12 would be next gen. I mean we all knew the Wii U would be more powerful than the consols that are 6 and 7 years old but depth of field, realer shadows and better lighting is only a small step ahead.
Now if it could run games perfectly at 60fps and in 1080p while processing so much information on screen like 100 different enemies all doing different things at once then I'd definitely call it next gen

I agree completely and thats why my money is going to AC3 and Far Cry 3 this fall instead of crappy Capcom.
If Sony wanted elements from other games and yous complied its still your fault for not doing them right. Now I have plated Socom 4 and the cover elements and such were not the only things wrong with Socom 4.
This game had so many bad game mechanics and it offered very little in a tactical way. Something Socom is known for. They say bad developers blame others.
FF7 is the only PS1 game I still play in todays HD graphic era. The game is not over rated. Its the game that turned me onto the RPGs and the FF series. Yeah in todays generation the long reading of Dialogue gets boring but it has one of the best combat systems ever created for an RPG and the story is amazing.
No Square Enix is doing a great job at that without a FF7 remake. In fact a FF7 remake with an updated story, same combat system but new weapons, mini games, Materia/Summons and more places to explore in the world would save the franchise.
True comparison my ass. There is video party chat on PSN that can only be accessed outside of games while in game there is cross game text chat. If this was a true comparison this would be included.
Secondly the PS3 has a web browser and twitter, Facebook and every other social network can be accessed easily and fast. I've often spent hours browsing the PS3s web browser with a 20 Euro wireless keyboard and mouse thats compatible with the PS3.

You can access all those from your PS3 web browser as well lol along with all the free movie streaming website on the internet and before Xbox live got those upgrades and PS3 guys brought that into the consol debates Xbox guys never counted that as a valid point.

You always got free games with the discounts except now you get full retail games and Good PSN titles. Anyone that would rather get crappy apps and stuff instead of 40 plus games a year is crazy.
In Europe we get 10 free games this month and after that 3 games get added every month. Thats amazing even for people like me who owns 100+ PS3 retail games and 50 or so PSN titles.

Stop with the its your ISP BS. Why is it that I can play loads of games with no problems with the same ISP but on games like UC3 and COD I can't. Its nothing to do with ISP's, but everything to do with crappy P2P connections and crappy match making systems. You know the crappy matchmaking systems that put you in games full of Japanese gamers or American gamers when you live in Europe and vice versa for those people.
