That's Square Enix for you. They really are a shadow of their pasts selves. I still wait for that next amazing FF, but they strayed from the formula so much that I wouldn't hold my breath.
It was mostly the PSP fanbase that asked for the game and it should have come to its successor, Vita. It sucks that we have been ignored and they completely forget about us. Time and time again Vita shows it can be profitable, but they want to put it on PS4/Xbone for money. I hope to christ this flops. Square Enix is really over their head by now.
I used to have five, but I told somebody off who was blasting the Vita in one thread and they took bubbles from me instead. I always seem to attract bad luck anyways. :(
Its logo was in AC4 so you can cling on to that hope. :)
Remember they found its logo in AC4? So it definitely exists.
I would use that to make it really more akin to the Emerald protagonists.
Day one buy. I've been waiting for a remake of my favorite generations of Pokemon. My body is ready for Hoenn.
Did anyone notice the dramatic PSP boost? I guess people want to get it before it's gone forever. RIP PSP, you had a good run.
Sony has given up on Vita it seems.
I hope so too, but at this point I am convinced Sony gives zero f**** about Vita.
I'm heartbroken because I've followed it since it was codenamed the NGP. I've had in my mind so many games that could have done well on it and the potential that could have been reached. The thing that makes me sad is that there was once a time they actually were excited about it and wanted to push it. They have really let us Vita users down today. Yes, PSTV is great and all, but Sony has shown they have given up even though they can claim not to have done so.
This is definitely Sony's response to Vita at E3 this year.

I don't know if I can expect a better future for it outside of Japan at this point. Sony has definitely gave a middle finger to the Vita today and said,"Here we have the PS Vita which we think will have a good future as a companion device. Please ...
Outside of Japan it has been really disappointing. In 2014 it has only been lackluster titles and ports and indies. The only things that saved Vita's 2013 lineup outside of Japan was Tearaway and Killzone which were both announced the year before. People can say whatever they want, but I think everyone knows that SCEA and SCEE have pretty much given up on Vita and now want to only push it as a PS4 companion device since they have no confidence in it. It's sad, but it's true.
Tell me about it. Every year after I've been telling myself to wait till Gamescom and TGS. At this point TGS is the only conference which gives a crap about it. It's sad because Vita had a lot of potential. It's mostly Sony's fault and I have many reasons which I cannot say right now. Memory card prices and advertisements come to mind.
Big boost my butt. Sony has completely given up on Vita in the West. People can say otherwise. At least I can depend on Japanese titles which are really great.
I second that. ;)
They better or I'll be pissed.
Nice.
Exactly what I am saying.
I'd rather the new AC Vita game than FF Type 0 at the moment since I've played it already years ago. I do feel for everyone who was waiting all these years for it to be localized for a handheld. It really sucks indeed. However, that's a good alternative I hear.
