screenshots mean nothing... scans of magazines of photos of screenshots are just pointless in telling graphical quality. give me HD gameplay now!
it is because most people who think they are funny aren't
well said... and just forget about the score altogether and read the damn reviews. what annoys me in a game may not annoy the reviewer and vice versa. i can find this out in a decently written review. everyone hangs shit on Edge but they don't actually read the review, just the tiny score at the end.
this is why we boycott "official" magazine reviews. Whether the game is a ten or not is irrelevant, the point is a 10 (or any score) from an official magazine isn't worth the paper it is printed on.
they simply are not allowed to score certain VIP games low, doesn't really matter which official magazine or which console
welcome to fantasy land
yeah, i kept saying "now blow the shit up"

not when there is money involved... or hookers or whatever.

then you have the whole "in denial" group of gamers who only want to see good reviews. to say anything negative is sometimes not worth the trouble as your opinion is only welcome if it is positive. at this rate we are going to pro...
the PS3 has a blu-ray player and excellent media player and therefore appeals to non-gamers. the other 2 really don't have anything outside of gaming to offer. it is a double edged sword for sony, they want the format (blu-ray)to succeed but also want everyone who owns one to buy a bunch of games for it. if you ask one of the big three what they want most, more hardware sales or more software sales, they will say software every time. there isn't much to be made in hardware (unless you...
as long as my choice of gaming hardware is well supported then i couldn't give a shit. a good example is the gamecube, technically better than the PS2 but lacked the sales and therefore support by third-party developers.
this is where console success matters to me. if my console is selling (and supported) fine then i don't really care if another console is outselling it.
deja-vu

@cez of rage - what secret recipe?? decade old gameplay? destruction and vehicles are the way forward. CoD is just more well known and easier to play (ideal for the casual gamer), but otherwise doesn't actually stand a chance unless it evolves with the industry. i don't care about sales, i care about the better experience.
constantly
as long as they are not by the idiots who made the new leisure suit larry. talk about missing the point
i want a good RTS/FPS to finally come out. RTS management but with the ability at any time to take over any unit in first person. vehicles, infantry you name it. done right and it'll be huge
good point about arcade style downloaded games. they definitely need to be supportedon the next system or their digital disty model can go get f@#$ked
only initially. when a new console, especially portable, comes out then it is a valued selling feature but after a while, notsomuch
fussy
this is not a bad thing. it will sell well enough to profit and it is DICE so it will be supported. doesn't need to outsell CoD so no need to be sorry my friend
