because we know what to expect and the whole point of the ridicule in the first place... nothing changes. if your last few games have not evolved one bit, gamers will expect the same again, it is just human nature. plus they belong to the military FPS genre, which is over saturated with boring games.
you flat out cannot re-release the same crap over and over again and expect to get away with it. CoD was never that interesting in the first place.

@stanlee. it doesn't take much for the flavor of the month to switch in a school playground. CoD is old news to these kids and BF3 will benefit greatly from word or mouth once the game is out. meanwhile MW3 will look and play the same as the last 3. a lot of these sales go by what is considered cool. kids tend to play what their friends are playing.
BF is accessible, i don't really understand that statement. when they are considered to both be very similar in gameplay...

bullet storm was not "technically brilliant". how can a game where you get stuck multiple times (and have to restart the checkpoint/level) be classed as technically brilliant?

didn't like the weapon off to the side when aiming. i like iron sights, to have them on the gun and not use them is annoying. i spose i could get used to it but can't be bothered. turned it off within 5 mins and deleted it. plus no southpaw support in demo, how hard can it be to program "swap sticks"

i think i'll wind back my FPS purchases. for multiplayer all I ever play is the BF series which leaves single player. cancel out all the linear hand-holding games and poor quality/buggy games and there is only a few left... that should fit my budget nicely.
