awesome idea. let 'em play but make 'em stand out in pink. maybe even have a giant arrow above them so you always know where they are
they are not pointing them out they are full time exploiting them meanwhile ruining the experience for everyone else.
but yeah this really is a maturity issue, don't release an open beta if you don't want the immature crap that comes with an open video game beta. release a beta to people who have a certain rank in previous BFs or something like that. this is how you get usable feedback from players who have invested time in BF.
just ask valve
why now? why is it this beta that gets the internet all in a twist? it is like the whole industry is making fun of a beta thinking it is the game.

i give it an eight (-1 for the invisible walls above fences, buildings etc. and -1 for lack of monster jumps around). see why reviews are pointless. i like the fact that you cannot get out of the car, it is when the series went downhill. shifting into other cars works a lot better than i thought it would as i hated the idea before i tried it. AND the multiplayer is an absolute blast. but most of all I love the handling and control

both BFBC1 & 2 were very bad at launch but within a month or so they will have ironed out most of the complaints. definitely worth the wait but unfortunately kids today want everything now and will drop this game fast. personally i think this is a good thing, they can all go back to cod.

personally i think the popup affects the gameplay, especially when it is 2 meters away

now look again at crysis 1. it has you fooled majorly. the popup is atrocious when you compare normal sight to binoculars the popup is the worst i have ever seen. when landmines 2 meters away suddenly popup the graphics are actually affecting the gameplay in a negative way.

it is called journalism. journalists ask questions, they answer them and then the media blows it all out of proportion. if there was no rivalry they would only get a quarter the amount of clicks to their article.
of course there is rivalry between the best driving sims on both consoles.
