"Internet warriors are so pompous these days"

They really are. Listen to that cliché, sinister piano music he/she has playing in the background, as if he/she is some sort of super badass, mysterious internet master.

Just a bunch of rebellious kids with internet access who have nothing better to do.

I'm back online, seems to be sorted out...for now, anyway.

Time to play some TLoU MP.

Their reason for these attacks is "PC MASTERRACE"....yet they also attacked Blizzard and Riot games (League of Legends).

Ummm, wat?

4324d ago 7 agree1 disagreeView comment

"Reason given for attacks is, "PC MASTER RACE""

You're right, that is really stupid, seeing as their other targets were Blizzard and Riot (League of Legends), two big-name PC developers.

Bunch of dumb punks, lol.

" Just hope x box live can withstand the attacks if they try there. "

Probably not. As DigitalRaptor linked above, MS/XBL have already been targeted and overcome by DDoS attacks befo...

It literally isn't so.

DDoS attacks are not hacks.

"this won't end well for them "

This is nothing like when PSN got hacked in 2011, a DDoS attack isn't even a hack, it's done by overwhelming an online service with traffic/data until it crashes. I believe PSN is back up for some people, they're already in the process of restoring the service. DDoS attacks are nothing but minor inconveniences, made by virgin teenagers trying to appear as big-time hackers.

I think they actually are kids. In one of their tweets, he/she whines at his Dad for turning off the router, lol.

There's an entire city to test your free-running in....just sayin' :P

Yup.

Sad thing is, they say that they do this to "get back at" big, greedy corporations, but the only people who get affected by this are the gamers, who haven't done anything wrong to anyone.

Pretty weak excuse, really. It's clear they just want to show off their 5th grade-level DDoS skills, and use "evil corporations" as an excuse to do it.

Never underestimate the power of bored virgins. Especially those with 1337 haXor skillz.

RIP Sony, it was nice knowing you.

C'mon guys, lets see if MS and Nintendo will give us refuge *packs bag*.

What is with Ubi and including garbage missions like these in their games? We don't want to hunt for data fragments or shoot digital aliens with digital guns in silly AR games (Watch Dogs).

Stop padding your games with this crap and spend the time and effort elsewhere.

I see this as the same situation as casting Bryan Cranston in Godzilla....he's playing a different character, sure, but we all know everyone is seeing Walter White/Heisenberg when they look at the screen.

In a game where atmosphere and immersion are key, I don't think casting a fan-favourite character from one of the most watched shows of all-time is a wise choice.

Lots of devs are friends with other famous people. Doesn't mean you need to include them in your games.

Btw, what does Kojima eat for breakfast on Tuesdays?

4326d ago 2 agree4 disagreeView comment

He's an decent enough actor, I guess, but let's be honest here, the only reason he got this gig was because he's Daryl from TWD.

I don't know...I think he may be too much of a familiar face to include as the playable character in a videogame like this one. I'd rather play as a stranger, and not someone I'm going to associate with other things every time I lay my eyes on him.

Or a kilo of salt.

See what I did there?

It's been fine for me and my friends since the latest patch. It was terrible before that, though.

This looks great. I'm so glad unique and creative games like these are getting more attention this gen, especially on PS4. We need more games like this, and less generic shooty-bangs (although those can be fun too :P).

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
WiLD.
No Man's Sky.
Ether One.
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.
Rime.

I'm looking forward to those games more than I am most AAA retail games. Let's hope...

Good on them for making these maps free as an apology for the matchmaking issues some people have been having...but honestly, MP maps should always be free, as they just split the community and further hinder matchmaking times. That goes for any game.

Either way, this is good news. Free maps and no split community, rejoice! :D

So true.

You didn't need to have read the article to know that, it says so in the title, lmao.

And yeah, I also read many articles in which people were laying blame on devs for not making PS3 multiplats look as good as 360 multiplats...but that still doesn't take away from the fact that the blame is mostly on the design of the X1, just like it was with the PS3. Those people were wrong to blame the devs entirely, just like you are now.

But of course you won'...
