Awesome, now lets just hope that the framerate holds up.
Reasons 3 and 4 don't match up with reason 5.
A game being linear isn't the problem imo, it all comes down to if the experience is fun, be it a linear experience or an open one. Look at Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us, two linear games, yet they're too of the most critically acclaimed games ever made and loved by millions.
I don't think The Order will be too open, and personally I don't really care, I enjoy both linear and open games and think they both have a rightful place in this industry. All I want is...
Glad to hear it. Hopefully they show off some of the new areas that we saw in the Gamescom trailer. The gunplay looks improved in that build too.
Here's hoping that showing the same old section over and over again didn't hurt the perception of this game too much, and that the new demo changes people's views. I personally want to see the metal-bending puzzles that they were talking about months ago.
And I'd also like to say that the comparison used in the article is pretty good. When sites do res comparisons they usually suck, but this one is pretty good. You can see the jaggy, blurry IQ that upscaled 720 gives, compared to the crisp clean image that native 1080p gives.
Good job.
@neonridr
" It's a proven fact that at distances of like 12 feet you eye cannot discern the individual pixel size when going from 720p to 1080p when gaming on a TV between 42-50"
Lmfao. How the hell could it be a proven fact if it's entirely dependant on the individual's eyesight? How would they even test that for it to be a proven fact for EVERYONE?These kind of garbage "facts" were thrown around in tons of pseudo-scientific a...
Yeah....I think it's about time we started getting some retail games on PS Plus. It's been almost a year.
AC4, or it's stand-alone DLC expansion would be welcome. :P
@smoothninja
Lol, stop trying to spin your comment. You said "I find myself shouting commands and being frustrated they don't work only to realize I'm on PS4 lol.",now you're saying they don't work "as well" as the X1's. The point is the PS4 has them and they DO work. You CAN navigate the OS with them.
You make that blatant Xbox fanboy troll comment, and then have the audacity to call me a "Sony bot" for corre...
PS4 has voice commands too...
Don't take offence, my American brethren. I love pizza too!
It's coming to the UK too?! PRAISE ODIN!
You gotta admit, though, ordering pizza while laying on your ass speaking to your Xbox....that's pretty Murica.
Murica!

Edit: I'm back online.
For once, I agree wholeheartedly with you.
Making excuses for Sony's incompetence does nothing to address the issues that need addressing. The only way to fix it and make PSN a better experience for us all is to be vocal about it and show Sony that what we're getting isn't acceptable for the money we pay.
More excuses. Smh.
The very fact that there are so many PS4's out there and so many people who connect to PSN every day should be cause for Sony to improve the network. It's a year after launch and PSN is arguably WORSE than it was at launch. They can't just do nothing while their playerbase continues to grow, they need to accommodate that growth...which they seemingly aren't doing at the moment.
It's Sony's responsibility to make sure...
No, this attitude needs to stop. We need to start complaining about PSN, because that's the only way anything will ever get done about it.
We should be getting better from a paid service. What we're paying isn't being reflected by the quality of the service.
@Eonjay
Yeah, it was completely fine for most of the day, I was playing BF4 for hours with no problem...then suddenly everything goes to crap.
Store maintenance shouldn't even be a thing, it should just be done in the background like it is on XBL. We're paying for this service now, we need to start seeing a reason for the charge.
I can sign in too, and I can see friends playing online, but I can't play BF4 online myself or load the store.
Sigh...
Who's bright idea was it to release a major firmware update the same day the store undergoes maintenance? Seriously, Sony can be so damn incompetent sometimes. There needs to me some serious changes in how PSN is run and how it operates. It's like it's being run by a bunch of chimpanzees.
Well, he was giving an interview to Official Xbox Magazine when he said that resolution doesn't matter. So go figure. The last thing he was going to say to them was "yes, 1080p matters" knowing that the X1 has had some trouble with 1080p over the past year. He's going to come up with some kind of diplomatic answer as to why it doesn't matter, especially if the final res of the X1 version isn't 1080p, as not to offend or get him/his company in trouble. When you're...
Aim for the head.
Disregard body shots.
1) It's not an indie game, it's published by SCE.
2) Even if it was an indie game, it would be one of the better ones.
3) It's awesome.
