"GTA 5 is the most successful game in the franchise for a myriad of reasons, not least of all because of the host of new features it introduced, like including three playable characters that players can easily switch between."
I have not heard one single person say GTA 5 is good because of three playable characters. I prefer one good written character which you build a relation with.
This is just a "random/what if" article. No reason for this to work better or at all in Ragnarok than any other game.
Killzone 2 was/is so good and it still looks good today. The multiplayer was fun as well. If they make a new Killzone I hope it is the style of Killzone 2.

Crash Team Racing for me. I had great times with the original and still play the remake from time to time.
Digital discount aren't really discounts anymore. A new game price is 80, on sale it now is 50. For me that is not a real sale. I guess I have to wait for Christmas now.
So how was it, since you must have finished it to have an opinion?
It's true but Final Fantasy's problem isn't only the turned based system. Everything about single player Final Fantasy is mediocre for over 20 years now. Except for FFXII, that one still felt like a Final Fantasy game. To me FFXVI looks more like a Devil May Cry set in the middle ages than a Final Fantasy game.
I really enjoyed Dragon Quest XI. It's proof that you can combine modern and classic and have a great game.
Right now it's just not good enough. There are about 10 PS1 games on PS Plus and that should have been 50 minimum. Same goes for the PS2 games.
This had so much potential with all the great games that have been released over the 25 years of Playstation. But most of them are now PS4 games, and half of those aren't even good.
Viking: Battle for Asgard
Final Fantasy X doesn't need a remake or a prequel. Older Final Fantasy games like FFVI, FFVIII or FFIX are way better for a full remake, as long as they don't change the story like they do with the FFVII remake.
Even older Final Fantasy games could get a remake, although they need a little more changes.
MGS1 and MGS3 remake would be so awesome. Or a remake trilogy of MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3. This needs to happen.
It looks like it will be 3 parts from what I've heard. Which means the pace of the game will be much faster than part 1 because it won't fit all in a trilogy.
Look at this and realize that Midgar is a full episode. Everything else is on disc one, not even counting walking around on the world map. You need at least 8 parts to fit it all in the remake if they did it like part 1.
Midgar - Kalm - Chocobo Farm - Mythril Mines - Fort Condor - Yuffie - J...
Totally agree. A remake of Soul Reaver, Driver, Timesplitters, Syphon Filter 2, Vagrant Story to name a few. So many quality games back then.
I want it to be Bloodborne II, but I feel like it is not.
I'm so hoping I'm wrong.
Part of the charm of GTA is the semi cartoonish look it has. Making it too realistic doesn't fit the game.
This definitely is not a remake build from the ground up. You can see everything is exactly the same size and is in the exact same place. In a full remake that would not happen.
What they did do is reworked the models, changes little things like windows and different lighting. I'm pretty sure they copied the code to a different engine and polished it from there on. Let's see what Digital Foundry has to say on this.
To me it looks mediocre, and I'm usually right. This games already has been hyped up way to much and after Fallout 76 Bethesda has a lot to make up for.
The engine that they are using for so long now has to get a major update or they should make a new one all together.
If their next game isn't Bloodborne II (which would make me very sad) it will be something different from a normal Souls game. It will most likely be something like Bloodborne or Sekiro.
Good list. All my top games are on it.
