I hope that a lot of games now will get an uncapped framerate patch. Bloodborne for example.
These are old games not made for SSD while MS spend a lot of time and money on a BC mode. Even without Playstation having a special BC mode it still runs almost as fast as Xbox games. Most of the time it's only a few seconds difference.
That just shows how fast PS5 actually is.
The PS5 should have a higher score. Sony is actually improving things. Like the new controller, better UI, NVMe SSD support, 3D audio, great games at launch and after.
Xbox Series X is just an Xbox One X but more powerful. You just can't deny that.
I hope we see most games have the option between no RT 60fps and with RT 30fps in whatever 4K resolution that will be. Gamers most likely care more for a higher framerate than a light version of ray tracing.
115 for 500GB is not a steal at all. The minimum I need is a 1TB extension and I'm definitely not going to pay half a console price for that.
The extra weeks/months I have until I can even put in a pre order.
They already do that with the rainbow flag every year. I say keep all that shit out of gaming. No politics, just gaming.
There are also no next gen tested so far. All are BC games that don't take full advantage of the system. Same goes for Dirt 5, that game looks like it's a last gen game.
I don't understand Microsofts decision for the Series S. In the upcoming 5-6 years, every game that will come out for the Xbox has to work for the Series S. This will hold back a lot of developing of games and might not even be fixed with a simple 900p resolution.
D-sync and strong lag compensation. The lower your ping the harder you'll get punished.
It's even more one sided anywhere outside of the US.
Always good to have a choice between different sizes and manufacturers. I can see the prices of SSD's will drop within the next year since now PS5 has a huge market for SSD sales.
After the PS4 Pro loud fan noise I've always said that I don't care what the PS5 looks like or how big it is as long as the cooling is good. It seems like Sony had the same idea.
It will be an exact copy of the Xbox One X. First months it will sell good, then after when the diehard fans all have the system the sales will go down. Playstation will be the same as the PS4 or even better.
The simple fact is that outside of the US the Xbox is not populair. And it still doesn't have great exclusives either.
I had the idea of the option to get double trophies when you play a game again after having the platinum trophy. With a double or triple platinum if you want. It doesn't even have to give you points for them, only visible on the trophy page.
There are a lot of games I want to replay and get the trophies again. It would have been a nice bonus if they did that.
Hopefully. But wouldn't liquid metal drip to one side if you put the PS5 vertically? I don't know exactly how that works. Someone can explain the difference between liquid metal and thermal paste?
4K isn't even the standard right now.
I'm hoping something Bloodborne. Either by a patch for the PS5 or some sort of a remastered. Imagine Bloodborne 4K 60fps, yes please!
@morganfell
There is a difference between playing in 4K 30fps or 60fps with a lower resolution. That's what I meant with power of the games.
There is a reason why the GoW on the PS4 Pro makes the fan go crazy because it uses the full power of the PS4.
I don't see the problem. Storing PS5 games on a HDD and then copying them back to the PS5 SDD still takes more time than simply downloading and deleting the games. Unless you have real slow internet speed it.
It doesn't matter how fast the console or the SSD is, the HDD will be the bottleneck.
