This is what happens when Sony regains their ego. The massive ass kicking that the PS4 gave the XBone has made Sony lose their modesty they built up after the poor release of the PS3 and how Sony had to catch back up to eventually outsell the Xbox 360.
If this were M$ people here would have been jumping all over this. But since it is Sony, people turn a blind eye.

They are only saying this cause the Xbox pre orders are taking place next week with the possibility of it running smoother than PlayStation. So in order to stay ahead in goodwill, they come out to say this.
If Xbox had already done their pre orders, Sony would not have said this.
