To me it was one of the most cinematic part of the game. I didn't want it to be off rails and I didn't want to control the jeep, either. They did it perfect! You actually got to participate, but more so like a movie spectator along for the ride, only... you also had the major role of interacting with the scene. It was amazing and nothing has come close to it in terms of visual cinematic in a game. nothing!

More or less, yes... Think of controlling Lair like you would a horse. Hold the control like reins, basically. You wanna turn around? Well, flick the controller up, as if you're holding reins. Wanna go fasteR? Push it down and up < not like that, though.
As for Folklore, yes and no. You have to push a button to steal a soul, but you do whip the controller up to yank it out of it. In my opinion, Folklore uses motion control very well. Very subtle and very rewarding.

Mitchel, I'll answer that for him. Lair is good for many reasons. It's so much more than what you've heard or are use to hearing about. Graphically, the game is amazing. The texture detail and level of overall detail in the worlds are second to none! The games concept is awesome, but only does it shine when you get about 3 hours into the game and realise what your apart of.
The game controls are spot on! Don't let anyone tell you how bad they are until you try them yourself....
Genji 2 is underrated in my opinion and so is Untold Legends... Those 2, along with Lair are highly over looked games. Genji 2 has better graphics than Ninja Gaiden sigma, it has better animations and it's more user friendly. Untold legends is a next-gen hack n' slashers dream come true... I won't ever buy an Eidos game... Well, I never have but that's just beside the point. I really won't now... and I don't even care about Jeff, Gamespot or the situation. I just hate Eidos, Ubi-soft, THQ, EA sports and a whole host of other devs so I always look for easy outs.
