That is absolutely insane. Intel was just bragging about their 28 core chip too.
I (and many people) said back when they launched the first dual core 20 years ago that processors would move from being about core speed to core numbers. Unfortunately due to Intel dragging it's feet that reality took way longer than it should have to happen. But as AMD brought dual core to the masses now they have pushed us forward again reshaping the industry.
How many years ago was it there was any game featuring Wonder Woman Green Lantern Green Arrow or haha Aquaman, admit it, an Aquaman game would be awesome.
And ugh a trilogy of Superman... I can't imagine the next 10 years of all Superman.
I don't know Superman is pretty much the least interesting superhero. There are so many they could have picked from that would have been more interesting and probably lead to more interesting gameplay options.
A lot of us have more games than we have time to play them.I went from Monster Hunter World to Ni No Kuni 2 to Yakuza 6 to God of War to Little Witch Academia to Detroit All while trying to beat Pillars of Eternity 1 again so i can carry over a save into Pillars of Eternity 2 and I'd like to play Vampyr soon and I have a bunch of other games I haven't even opened and there are other games coming out I want to play.
So you can play the same game for months buying upd...
Lets not confuse the numbers here, SoD did not have a 2 million peak. It's had 2 million people play it. That doesn't even mean two million people paid or used gamepass. 2 million just means accounts which could include things like family members, shared disks, gameshare, people who bought a used copy redbox gamefly and any number of other methods which allows a person to play with out actually paying.
" I mean, just last week you guys were bragging about how many youtube views God Of War was getting."
First off the article about Youtube came from a website not Sony. It wasn't meant to reflect the success of the game in any official fashion. Sony and and Studio Santa Monica actually reported sales several times.
What are you talking about? The only thing that matters is profit. If your bringing in less revenue than your manufacturing and labor ect. costs your losing money, that's negative profit.
Lets be clear, I am not questioning anyone's "fun" what I am questioning is Microsoft's use of manipulative figures to give an unrealistic, non-accurate or even dishonest figures.
What I want is for Microsoft's to use industry standard metrics for success not unverifiable easily manipulated made up metrics.
I see people comparing gamepass to Netflix, but Micrsoft is giving gamepass away for free. They just offered another month of gamepass for $1, that's 3 maybe even more months in a row that they have done that deal. And on top of that people can easily get it for free using xbox rewards by using bing and other stupid stuff.
I have said it before, I doubt gamepass is anywhere close to as profitable as you guys want to pretend. Honestly I que...
Microsoft uses MAU because if they use any real or verifiable metric people will easily be able to see how poorly they are doing, MAU is a distraction.
Personally, I choose my investment portfolio based on zombies killed.
