The truth is you can't give away an xbox in most of Europe and Asia thats not going to change next gen. Sony will continue to control the global market.
It wouldn't be the first thing Micrsoft spent billions on only to cancel. Zune Pocket PC XP Tablets Windows Phone Nokia only cost them 8 billion ect.
Xbox could easily be next.
The reality is Microsoft would be more profitable selling there services on other devices, the only thing keeping them tied to hardware is pride at this point.
There are no tools, and even if there were you no user is going to sift through that much garbage. Steam's job as a service should be to sift though the garbage for users.
Perhaps Nintendo's Seal of approval is why people have come to expect quality. And Steams garbage dump of a service is why PC gaming can't gain relevance. Steam used to be respected when they had actual curation a few years back, now it's becoming a joke as developers and consumers seek ...
You were better off letting people think you weren't reading because if you are reading it and you still don't get it, it makes you seem dumb.
It's not about people not buying this crap it's about it flooding the market place so that the people who are actually trying to use Steam for it's intended purpose can't get their games seen by people. No one can hide the 699 trash games per month to see the 1 that is actually good.
No, your don't get it, your just basing your reaction off emotion and not thinking about it.
And when I say it's the same game with a name change I mean they are exactly the same game from the exact same person who is just fishing for a few sales here and there.
I can't believe your actually defending this.
I assume your not even reading what I am saying...
TLG didn't launch as a mess... I mean it wasn't the level of polish (or budget) of God of War but it was hardly "a mess". It was certainly less buggy than State of Decay.
You clearly don't understand the severity of the situation. More than 700 "games" per month go up on Steam and something like 90% of those games are just trash fishing attempts made by people publishing dozens and dozens of games under multiple companies. These are people who are literally added dozens and dozens of games that are just copies of the exact same game with different names and when I say game I use that term so loosely... they ar...
Crossplay in this situation only benefits Microsoft. Sony has more paying PSN members than Microsoft has sold consoles. And if you look at parts of Europe and Asia where PS4 out sells xbox by 10+:1 Sony would basically be indirectly helping sell xbox's.
Microsoft is using this issue as a manipulation tool because it's what they need, and they need it badly. But if the tables were turned there is ZERO chance Microsoft would be offering crossplay to Sony. Last gen ...
This reply and all the up votes just show how little people understand about the world around them. Any kid can go to the store and buy a pre-paid credit card.
Again I have to remind people I'm not supporting censorship. Just if your going to comment/upvote at least think about what your saying before you click add.
While that's true that shouldn't exclude Steam from curating their own site. Can you name even one site that has less curation than Steam? Even ebay and craigs list have more curation than Steam. On Steam you have companies who serially release these asset flips and non-working games and they get away with it over and over. And you have whole companies formed around making fake accounts to upvote and comment on these games.
Well.. first off it wasn't HunnyPop is was that school shooting simulator.
Second I'm not a fan of censorship, but this isn't Valve trying to be fair it's just about them not wanting to pay people to curate their site.
Valve need to clear out all the trash and asset flips and flat out broken games and just general crap. And they need to moderate their community, there are just flat out abusive people on both the developer and customer si...
I love the steady stream of games Sony provides. It's nice to know there will be 3 or 4 big games every year on top of smaller games and VR titles. Plus PS4 has by far the best selection of 3'rd party games and indies.
