I love the RROD defense, haha when people used that to explain why the 360 outsold the PS3 xbox fans were quick to say those weren't counted. But now when it's to your advantage that's the reason the 360 is outpacing the one.
But lets be real here, this gen is much larger than last generation, not exceeding the prior generation is a clear sign of trouble. When you also add in the fact that they are adding in the sales of "the worlds most powerful console&...
Slow is relative, it's still BY FAR the best selling console. And the thing is 2017 was xbox's worst year since launch where as 2017 was PS4's best year. So you have to put things in perspective.
PS4 is 1.5 million unit ahead of 2016/2015 where as xbox is basically even with 2016/2015.
PS4 is still very very strong and the clear market leader.
Better balance, more content, longer story, more enemies... Anything really.
I'm sure that the goal was to position the game more competitively to their advantage, but as long as they use the time to work on the game it's not a big deal.
That's unfortunate I have been looking forward to this game for a while. I support the decision as I want quality but this game is going to be niche no matter what they do. I don't know if a delay can improve sales.
In a generation that has grown substantially equaling sales from 8 years ago and a previous generation only highlights how poor xbox is actually doing this gen. This gen PS4 is only 10 million from equaling both the sales of 360 and PS3 combined.
I mean hooray for xbox I guess... but their number one rival has outsold them globally more than 3:1 in consoles and around 4.5:1 in software so far this year.
That statement you quoted is someone simply reachin...
I'd like to see new competition in the high end console space. if it's a stream box though forget about it.
If they can get a foothold in the console space is a whole other thing. Without a unique library of games why would people buy one instead of a PlayStation?
