Microsoft has really dropped the value on games with gold since they started gamepass while Sony has really upped their game in 2018 offering a solid selection month after month.
Xbox owners don't care about crossplay they just wanted to use it against Sony. It's like Japanese games, xbox owners don't really care about Japanese games and don't buy them they just want to be able to say they have them in their console war arguments.
All those games you listed sold poorly on xbox compared to the PS4 version. All those games sold under 20% of thier copies on xbox, most were under 15%.
Having games on the system doesn't show people would buy them.
Nintendo has signed a deal with the devil. Microsoft is just using Nintendo to damage Sony. If Sony ever becomes less of a rival for Microsoft, Microsoft will turn on Nintendo faster than Reggie can blink.
Sony has done nothing but bring a huge revival to the Japanese gaming market which has only helped Nintendo where as if Microsoft was in the lead Japanese gaming would have died this gen. The success of the 360 destroyed Japanese gaming and had that continued it would...
I'm pretty sure whats happening is they are shifting their focus to Europe. In Europe they have almost complete market domination. If you look at Ghosts of Tsushima they showed that first in Europe at Paris Game Week.
That seems like irrelevant information to me. The fact of the matter is the PS4 is still the best selling console by a significant margin..
Selling 1 million consoles a month and more than 3x as much software and your nearest competitor is impressive and both competitors would love to be in Sony's position.
Even more impressive is that 9 of the top 40 games were Sony Published. Only one game short of 25%. That's true market domination. 25% with so many publishers on the list (15) is amazing.
Just because Sony hasn't said anything doesn't mean it's not coming. Sony only announces their consoles right before they launch unlike Microsoft who announces consoles years before their ready..
