Why is everyone crying over one persons review? Polygon is a great site, but it is based on the individual's tastes. The only 2 good Kotaku writers, Crecente and McWhertor left Kotaku to work at Polygon, so I'd say it's pretty reputable.

As an Xbox fan, I would have no problems with this being true. I'd take Fallout over Metal Gear any day.
My guess is QA was finding bugs left and right, but only focused on the game breaking ones, and even then couldn't get to them all. The size of the world, the inventory system, the AI: that is a lot to get through. Hopefully a new engine will do away with many issues...
