The lighting and reflection on xb1 are great. Detail levels much clearer, and about what you'd expect. Still, the xb360 version is not that bad.
Is Thunderhead just another set of servers. Yes and no. Technically yes, but the vast amount of servers dedicated to gaming, with the automatic ability to upscale and downscale dynamically with very little upkeep is huge for devs. Especially at little to no extra cost as it is being offered. This translates to bigger development support, and the ability to focus more on actual development, say of extra content, than trying to fix server issues. This is what excites me.

Jim is right. You can't say only one console is doing something, when clearly it isn't the case, especially when the other was announced a looooong time ago. That being said, I am going to enjoy both, like a real gamer.
Will definitely buy and play again, but will wait for a lull in games and a price drop. Probably next summer.
