You’re spreading misinformation, the deals that you’re referring to, are deals made between Sony & the “publisher”. And most of the time, it’s the publisher shopping around their Ip to the highest bidder. If you’re going to go with the narrative that Sony is blocking games off other platforms, then you have to include said publisher, because unlike MS, Sony doesn’t own any major third party publisher and locked down well known established IPs to their system.
I know the guys over at Bethesda are pissed. This is definitely going to backfire on MS, because they’re about to either tarnish or kill off some of these beloved IPs that some of these studios build for decades.
I would love to be proven wrong in this matter, but I just don’t see how the worst selling console out of the big three with the lowest subscribers on their subscription service is going to sustain all of these studios & their IPs?
And if thi...
That’s a good point, even if the deal goes thru, how is MS going to be able to sustain all of those studios & their Ips?
So he would to get rid of exclusives entirely, but at the same time he’s buying out major third party publishers along with their catalog & making those titles exclusive to their system?
It’s going to be a devastating blow to the game industry as a whole if this deal goes thru. MS is not even trying to be creative at this point, they’re just trying to buy everything to cripple Sony.
That’s the problem, his cult following are blindly following him no matter what he’s saying or doing.
Something is really wrong with this guy.
Couldn’t the FTC just googled him saying that ES 6 was going to be exclusive to the Series X|S?
He’s clearly lying, but playing dumb to court.
No they would not. Do you know the difference between a company buying out a whole entire publisher & their catalog vs a company making a deal with a third party pub/dev, to have exclusive content on their platform first for X amount of time?
According to the Xbox community, his testimony destroyed the FTC’s lawyer questioning. I’m not sure how they got to that conclusion, but whatever.
In any case, like I said before, Phil & his band of idiots were the worst thing to ever happen to the Xbox division.
I wonder why the devs keep doing this?
@wiz7191
I never said FF 16 was an exclusive though. It’s exclusively coming to the PS5 this year, but after that, I honestly believe it’s going to release on the PC.
I’m failing to see the point you’re trying to make?
Maybe volume 2 will include MGS 4 & Revengeance.
Yea per usual the internet is jumping the gun. Once FF 16 (which less than a month away now) & spiderman is release, this average showcase will be forgotten.
I don’t think any of us should expect anything from MS. They’re going to rely heavily on third party titles just like Sony did. They’re going to announce the release date for the next Forza game, & then maybe (a big maybe) an actual gameplay trailer for Hellblade 2.
Then they’re going to put all of their focus on Starfield, that hopefully looks better than what they showed last year.
It’s interesting to see Tom Phillips,a well known Xbox supporter, have this opinion about a PS showcase.
Very interesting.
Very underwhelming showcase. It was average at best. Sony was not kidding when they said they’re heavily investing into these live services models. Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta, Granblue, Alan Wake 2, Phantom Blade 0, & Spiderman 2 saved this show from being below average.
I think this show should’ve been a State of Play, instead of a PS showcase.
Sony definitely dropped the ball with this one.
They’re working with Remedy to remake Max Payne 1 & 2.
Finally, let’s see some games.
Come on MS, the cat is out of the bag. Just tell the truth.
