This new engine looks good (not BF4 good) but good all the same. The dynamic map aspect seems like a welcomed edition and we shall see how it plays out. I hate to say it but I am excited to see more from COD Ghosts.
No! You can't make me watch! I want to play this game for myself so bad. I think at this point being so close to the demo I am going on a blackout for The Last of Us. Heck I already got mine pre-ordered after all.
The ONLY thing I can think is possibly it will be DLC later down the line which if you need to pay for Co-op count me out.
Got ya...I didn't notice the time difference. The instagram was posted 4hrs ago while the article was only approved an hr ago. My bad...
The Last of Us is officially GOLD!!!

Edit: Not sure why the disagree. This is Christophe Balestra...the Naughty Dog Co-President.

What's interesting is how similar of a concept this is to real-time normal mapping. I mean normal mapping is taking the lower polygon object and mapping it to a lightmap/bumpmap of a much higher polygon object.
From the high polygon character they bake on the normal map and get a very high-res looking character out of low polygon one.

You are comparing a 7 year old machine/technology with the latest in graphics on PC? You can't be serious...
Adaptive Tessellation is a technique in which the closer you get to an object the mesh becomes higher polygon count and better looking. Check out the Nvidia demo from 2 years ago. The technology has only improved. Basically it is a simple cheat that if the object is further from the camera it renders it in lower quality but as you get closer it becomes better looking and more realistic.

Not only that but 4k TVs are still on the up and coming and are quite expensive. I look at it as similar to 3D in that it had a niche group but never really took off. Don't force it upon us though.
If only I could get Linux to install on my windows partition without having the "Error Loading File GRLDR for all devices"...Either way, this is a HUGE step in gaming. Linux is much faster/better then windows fyi.
When it comes to "entertainment" the funny thing is, is that Sony can monopolize that industry. By that I mean that you can get the Sony PS3, with a working Sony TV, and Sony Surround Sound system. Microsoft doesn't sell TV's, or speakers...they are strictly on the computer/gaming side. So it's amusing how they want to be an "entertainment" console yet you can have the Xbox but still support sony by getting a Sony TV and Surround System.
Also,...
I doubt bots will sit outside of spawn with a Tac insert and spawn camp/kill...
I don't honestly think the DLC will be worth $15. Not from the videos I have seen from the Xbox version at least. I'd be willing to spend $5 or maybe $10 since it's a fair amount of content, but not $15.
Animators are indeed impressive but no one every gives credit to the riggers. The guys that create the skeletons, the ik/fk handles, the basic movement abilities and limitations. And so forth.
Yes but I admit a couple of them every now and again I am completely stumped. However at this point I have beaten the Lantern box in its entirety. Pretty easy really.
@Darkronin229
Team Fortress 2 does the F2P well however it wasn't original F2P and if you don't pay for it there are some minor limitations. However, having a crafting system helps balance the game very well.
I personally don't like the F2P model since nowadays it is being known as the Freemium model. We shall see...
If they ever to decide to make a movie...that guy better be Kratos cause damn he fits the character well.
Here you go. This is from last sept but all the same it is gameplay of Grid 2.

What's redundant about that is the fact the Smart TV's have that same feature. Turning on via voice and knowing your voice to change the channel or give suggestions on what to watch.
