It clearly is a hit game right now, but I still think it's trash. I just can't figure out the appeal.

They didn't add 3 new levels, they included unfinished cut content... Big difference
They aren't 1:1, but they are way too close, can be mistaken for Pokemon, and are handled like Pokemon, and even calling their game Pokemon with guns is damaging to the Pokemon IP. I think this game will be gone soon. Or at the very least, altered.
@Amplitude I agree, Sony should give Microsoft the Uncharted Series, Spiderman, TLOU and God of War. Why would they hold those games back??
I didn't like it. A boring ARK with worse graphics and Pokemon knock offs.
Actually the only way to own it is to steal it... Making it even worse...
I didn't get a full screen as on either one. Did they opt in to something? Because all I got was a small square that mentioned Direct on the bottom of the screen

My buddy and I really wanted to like it so we gave it a chance, played multiplayer together. I'm the end it just didn't feel fun... Felt like there was no purpose or goal.

All you stated was that you enjoyed Fallout as a theme more than space travel. Personally I looked the quests and works better in Starfield, but also still felt it was lacking in key areas.
Xbox bought a company also... I forget the name, some indie company...
But anyway, Xbox has been more profitable each year, you might wanna do your research.
Personally, I'll take sales over profitability for the popularity argument, but clearly Xbox is still doing good if they can make as much and more with significantly less consoles
Honestly, downloaded on GamePass yesterday, played for 3 hours, deleted it. I don't get the hype. It's like a children's version of ARK with a dead world, Monster Hunter like areas for spawns, and Pokemon for characters. The graphics looks like Xbox 360 as do the mechanics and overall feel. You aren't missing anything, honestly.
Ummm, actually, despite having less consoles in the market, Xbox has been more profitable than PlayStation due to GamePass.

That being said, I haven't played TLOU2 yet so I'll probably grab it if it runs well

I'm not looking forward to FPS Indy... I would have preferred a 3rd person Uncharted beater... The timing was perfect, and they missed it. ..
I agree, it was a great game just wasn't what anyone expected. It was Space Fallout, and honestly that sub 30fps nonsense really killed me.
Fun game just not the 300 hour play forever game I expected... 7.5, maybe 8/10 ...
I think it's flattened because of the lack of console sales growth. If they want to grow subs, need to grow consoles. The biggest mistake they made is not selling Series S for $200 and just taking the loss. They would have made it up eventually...
I think it's worse than being full exclusive....I hate withholding content
