They would make there money back from games as they would only lose about £50 per console meaning they would only have to sell 3-4 games to break even.
A lot of games have mandatory installations? Where you from 2006? Any game I bought in the last 4 years hasn't had mandatory installation. Devs have got around it now they know the console better. Plus its a perfect starter console for people.
Indeed £99 would kill the competition at least for a while. As 360 could lower the price but then you add live on top and unless the 360 goes to £50 (which it wont) the ps3 is miles better value. As you get the free online and blu-ray. As gaming devices I wont argue as both have there plus sides. I'm talking value for money here. £99 is not only a sweet spot it's a KILLER.

all major devs release half a game nowadays and release the rest in a form of DLC. It's why I prefer smaller devs as they actually work harder for your money and release a full game and real DLC.
Batman Arkham City runs in 1080p already as does AC2.. Oh we talking about consoles here? Geez. I talking about PCs for the last 5 years as standard.. PC is already Nex-Gen thanks to DX11 and full 1080p gaming for under £400. You want to see what your PS4 and 720 will look like? Switch to pc. Plus you will save a ton of cash too as games are cheaper on PC especially with STEAM.
Everybody seems to be complaining about it lately.. I think this is an indication that something was supposed to be announced at E3 and wasn't and now the backlash has started as they have probably developed games for it, spent millions doing so ready for launch and the consoles not ready.
Playing the beta of GW2 I was so impressed and I played every major MMO out there and spent a lot on WoW. It's gonna be huge in fact it will be the new WoW in time. Not straight away as you need a recent(ish) build pc to play it so most WoW players wont switch straight away as that game can be played still on XP systems. However its the modern day MMO and it follows the new trend of free with IAP.
indeed they cannot put it without a HDD and a 16gb will cost them next to nothing to include. It will be for those who wish to choose there own size HDD or just transfer there old HDD over to save a bit of cash. It also lowers the lowest end of the console to maximize sales. It's win-win.
I loved res 5 the co-op system made it even better. The only haters was those who wanted it to be llike previous games. If you want that your out of luck but games evolve over time its a sad fact some for the better some for the worse. I personally prefer the new feel resident evil. Dislike new FF games though minus 13-2.
This is why we need differnt online options so when servers go down you can still play online through some method. Net speeds are getting faster each year and hosting games is nothing on my 120mb connection.
They were cool until people started abusing them. I remember back when 360 was only 3 months old and somebody had like 100,000 gamer score on 360. He had according to his profile the Jap, US, Korean and EU version of a game and got 100 gamerscore on all. Obviously game save loading did this and his gamerscore was reset by MS but then whats the point of it all? Its easy to abuse..
They release this at the same price as 360 or cheaper and it will sell millions in its first couple of months though. No doubt its slimmer to save on costs and thats whats with the weird disc loading system.

Digital content on consoles is a joke games come out at RRP on a console day 1. Did you know when you buy a game thanks to transport costs, store costs etc.. the game developer only gets around 30% of the cash from that game? However if you buy digitally they get nearly 100%? They did rip a lot of uncharted however saying that it looks like a very poor game even at early stages. Just look at the puzzles they are so 1990's and the flying spears traps? Seriously? Last time I saw them was timesplitters! Not to mention the weapons which belong more in a war game like dual wielding smgs.
They backed 360 though that was there first mistake as most jrpg gamers went to ps3 at first.
