Forza takes what Gran Turismo could have been and makes it reality. Quite possibly the best production racer ever. I'm still hoping a TOCA game makes a debut on 360 or PS3 though, I want body damage and for the physics to change according to said damage.
Didn't really like Getaway, but the graphics here do show potential for a graphically struggling system.
I got lucky at a Wal-Mart. But I haven't seen one since.
Seen a buttload of PS3's though.
Rough day at work maybe.
Anyhoo, like I said, I was just commenting on what piqued my interest.
I'll bubble you up so you can comment further (hopefully).
I'm actually looking forward to this. I had no interest before, but it looks like it could just be amazing if the controls work right.
I hope it's not Halo news at all, but an announcement that they're finally putting Marathon on XBLA. Or Minotaur.
Just no.
Multiplatform? SRSLY?!
The Wii may have a shot, because the control scheme would make for excellent FPS if done well. But the artists over at Bungie need more graphics power and memory versatility than the PS3 or Wii can offer.
And yes, I freely admit that I'm a Bungie fanboy. They sent me toys and stickers and DVD's for free, so I'm obligated to smooch Bungie Heinie.
That if you inspire the wrath of the developers by exploiting, modding, or any other method of cheating...
...they'll ban yer ass.
I was commenting only on the statement in the last 10 seconds, where he clearly said he'd have removed blu-Ray and made the console cheaper.
It's not needed for games, period. Most games are fairly compact, and those that aren't small enough to fit on current media (Final Fantasy VII, ShenMue, etc.) they can always multi-disc.
The only, repeat ONLY, reason the PS3 has a Blu-Ray disc is because Sony needed a trojan horse to get it's overpriced disc format install...
I suspect the Beta date, or the matchmaking scheme.
=)
It's not needed at all. Multi-disc works just as well, if not quite as convienient, and DVD-9's are what, 30 cents?

If XBox Live isn't original then what is?

*koff* XBand *koff*
And Sega Channel, Sega Net, Satelliview, Sega Netlink, etc...
I'm sort of a 360 fanboy. (Not as bad as most, but for the sake of argument I'll be one.)
I would hate this. I like my interface with LIVE to be non-obtrusive, only there when I call it up. I'd rather not have a graphical representation to take up processor space and memory when the list works just great on it's own.
I can use ANY game as a 'lobby' and voice chat over any of them as well. I can tell them about my achievements and direct them to the appropriate se...
The processor is 'technically' more powerful in the PS3, but not noticeably so. It's like the difference between a P1 150MHz and a P1 MMX 75MHz. The PS3 has a master core and 6 sub cores, one of which can be opted on the master core. The 360 has 6 threads that can all be tapped equally.
The GPU is 'technically' more powerful in the 360, but not noticably so. The RSX is slightly older technology, but in reality is only held up behind the ATI in the 360 because of the 256 MB li...
they'd probably end up doing a crsppy port so it didn't look too much better than what the PS3 can put out with the RSX.
I'd rather see it stay on PS3, and be a system seller here in the States. At least until the third gen of PS3 games when they get the graphics optimized.
The 3D0 didn't drop that fast either. Actually, it's rate of lowering cost was probably the slowest of all the consoles, since it used a tech license. It required the manufacturers (I.E. Goldstar and Panasonic) to price the consoles at a profit, since they didn't get large portions of the game sales.
Bad strategy since the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 could price the consoles at a loss and make the sales up in software.
Just a bit of useless info.
I'm using a Logitech 2.4GHz LCD SB wireless keyboard. Bluetooth is way too buggy for me thanks. It picks up interference from EVERYTHING.
And no YouTube, but I do have permanent, High Def, full shows on XBL Marketplace that aren't grainy. And Media Center 2005, so y'know...
Just had to point that out. =P
My only complaint is the 10 hours of battery. I work 12 hours a day and it'd be real nice to have it on the whole time and listen in the car on the way there and back home.
But damn if it ain't awesome. I dropped mine from 16 feet onto concrete and it works still. It's got a big chip in the corner, but it works.
My buddy's Nano took the same fall and shattered and [art of it fell in an extruder. No good. Wasted 30 pounds of resin.
Huxley, Crackdown, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Guitar Hero II, Assassin's Creed, Forza Motorsport 2, Oblivion, Shivering Isles, Dead Rising, Armored Core 4, Halo 3, Phantasy Star Universe, Halo Wars, Over G, Star Trek: Legacy, Blue Dragon, Shadowrun
I think I messed myself.
