hah that is because most of these reviews were done when the game was having problems, as it should be. I'm not saying they shouldn't have reviewed it, but they are having problems with issues that will be fixed, that HAVE been fixed. Besides, just cause a review says something doesn't mean every single person is going to agree with it, as is the case for a lot of games. And movies for christ sakes.
No they didn't wait...they somehow delayed the review and ironically released the day AFTER the patch. They weren't playing the game with the patch...the review was probably finished on the 28th...went through editing or some sh*t and then made it out after the patch. None of these problems are evident after the patch.
And this is a great game, so many people playing it because it's a classic SOCOM experience. It's unfortunate the game was released with so many problems but it...
Well, that depends...if you enjoyed previous SOCOM games you'd be right at home.
lmao and how you can say "and since I don't own it it obviously is bad" as that is about the lamest thing I've ever heard.
This game, especially after the patch, is running hella smooth now. No problems whatsoever...it's retarded they would wait so long to put out a review of this game and then release it the DAY AFTER the game is patched and almost entirely fixed.
They held off this long with a review and the game was just patched yesterday...or two days ago. Whatever it was....the game now runs damn near flawlessly. I am a huge SOCOM fan, but I was still voicing my displeasure in the beginning with all the problems. Yes, it's unfortunate that an online only game would ship with so many problems that it was damn near unplayable...or was entirely unplayable for some. A few days after it came out I started experiencing better play with the servers bu...
This is exactly how things go...think of how many people will buy the Arcade version not knowing that it is in fact a stripped down version of the 360. You can't feel bad for someone not doing research, but this happens. Hell it happens all the time with all sorts of other products. It's unfortunate, but at the same time it's being done with all sorts of things in all sorts of places. People think they're getting a deal, and I guess they kind of are...but if they want to take advantage of...
This is how they plan to get new comers to purchase their console, things like this. They also plan on a lot of people purchasing the Arcade version at its newer price with the hopes that they don't know they'll need additional things to bump it up to speed. Everyone commended MS for getting such a cheap version of the system out there...but any serious gamer, new or old, that is trying to make a move into the "next gen" of gaming is going to be taken advantage of if they don't un...
Dude, I have both versions (360 & PS3) - I work at a Gamestore and was able to take home a used version of the 360 someone brought in, they were saying something about bugs...so first off the 360 one already has its fair share of problems. Visually...the two, they are not drastically different...one doesn't look like ass compared to the other. This game, visually, is not amazing by any standards. Hell, I should put a video comparing the two, it would entirely better quality than this i...
And I have yet to encounter single freeze, have yet to restart the console, have yet to encounter a progression bug, and have yet to have any freezing/momentary skipping from people signing off/on and receiving messages. I'm sure the latter is the result of me turning off notifications...everything is peachy on my end and many others as they've told me.
I think this whole PS3 version is being blown out of proportion...people are taking this sh*t and running with it, it's a bit r...
Yeah man I know a few folks in that boat as well, I know a few folks who had gone through more than 2 360s - in one case dude's 4th one died. It got to the point where he realized it just wasn't worth it...these guys go out and buy a PS3 and they are hyping it ever since. It really has become the media center piece for everyone I know (including myself) as it really does so much. One didn't even know about the Linux deal and he went and put it up and he is loving that sh*t. Everything the...
here here, true words with that whole iPod thing.
Price wise.
Hell the 3 was a steal at it's original price for what it offered and they've dropped it considerably since then. If someone isn't able to afford a PS3 that's one thing, that means they probably aren't ready for it anyway. That means they probably don't own an HDTV yet and they would probably struggle with buying games and BD movies, if you are into the whole BD thing.
M$ offering the ARCADE version at the price they are is a good move for them, they are movin...
I think people have the wrong idea..he's stating that there are spaces set aside for purchasing the DLC, but naturally and obviously, they aren't up yet....doesn't make him an "fn moron" as someone said. MTV sucks tho...and so does M$ for having to pay for DLC. It's sad. To think they paid all that money for GTAIV DLC and it'll take around 7 months for them to even put it out. First off, think of all the money they won't be getting in seeing as its taking so long...think of all ...
I would feel terrible for anyone who actually bought this. That'd be horrible. And you know they'd probably dress up in it...haha...that's sad, that'd be the saddest thing that had ever happened this sad sad world.
Master Chief is such a ho, I thought we all knew that?
I love the people sticking up for this, like it's actually good.
lmao
Talk about a** clowns...can't even recognize a garbage ending when they see one, must he why they can't recognize a garbage console when they play on one too. Gears of War...seriously, you guys feel the need to grab on and defend/love any exclusive, even when they're not that good. WTF is with that?
What are you talking about buying SOCOM for 20 bucks? It's 40 by itself...there for you spend 20 for the headset...if you mean in terms of the headset itself (which is 50) then you get SOCOM for 10...but that sounds dumb lol
The accessory comes with the game, not the other way around....BT for 20 with the game priced at 40...40 on disc/psn.
That's ridiculous, look at the name in the TITLE...it's SOCOM...it's online only...what did they expect? This is a huge series for Sony and it is making it's debut on the PS3, how could they underestimate the amount of people wanting to play this game?
/6 Really let me down, there servers are a joke. The game has been playable up to a certain point in the day, then like clock work, it seems to go down for the rest of the day/night. I dunno, when it's fixed it'll be all good......
Really?
Where's Warhawk?! Heavenly Sword even? Buzz? Conan? Is this a joke?!
Well it doesn't take skill to own the three consoles... and why even buy the Wii? I know a bunch of people who have one that stopped playing it after a month. Was never interested in it myself, but even after playing it a good amount of time at peoples houses I was put off even more. I'd rather sit and just drink and pretend I enjoy watching them play WiiSports. >.< It's sad how people fan out on the Wii. Really....really really really sad.
It's too bad so many people don't know about all the little things the PS3 can do, a lot of people know of the big stuff, but there are many little things and details that make the PS3 stand out from the rest...and by that I mean the 360. The Wii doesn't count. Obviously. It sucks, but we knew that already.
A lot of the old SOCOM vets are loving this game, myself included. Sure the intial problems sucked, they were terrible...but it was all issues that could have been fixed and HAVE been fixed. THis game is awesome, and me saying that has nothing to do with "fanboyism" - he who calls out a fanboy is most likely a fanboy. I know what I like, and sh*t, I'm loving SOCOM. Even before the patch things were getting better and better.
The reason SOCOM has such low scores are ...
