When games are developed for the pc they can work to tech higher than whats out there. There are less limitations most come from the pc owners themselves when playing the game due to not having good enough hardware.

I think the dx10 specific features will be the only things missing from the console versions if they can't find a way to programme them in.

If the Govt. don't do anything soon then what happened with our film industry will happen to the games industry.
The companies will move operations and investment abroad and the Govt. will have lost out on another opportunity that could have been lucrative for them and the country.
