It's incredible to me that after 15 years, there is still SO MUCH support for this series. I thought we were a niche bunch, but the Kickstarter speaks for itself.

Still the damndest thing I've ever seen. It's finally happening. I think this might have been the first year in many that no rumours of shenmue 3 showing up at e3 occurred. And here it is!

Exactly. I don't even own a PS4 at the minute but I've backed the game. This game is a long, long time coming.
It's getting made and that's all that really matters to me.
Probably a price test for initial rollout. But I'd never pay those prices.
Thing is, games are big downloads and getting bigger all the time. Music will never be that big. And even films. Games have so much content I think the file sizes will slow the transition to digital much more than music and films.
Unless of course they find a way to compress the hell out of games.
My guess is that that reddit leak from last year was completely legit. However, they probably weren't able to get the game running well enough on ps3 and 360 so they've been cancelled. As if they wouldn't want to cash in on all those already installed console owners.
I guess it's a good thing, but people are still clearly pissed at the graphics. If there was a 360/ps3 version they'd feel some sort of vindication.

Lmao at the people complaining about the graphics, Tony hawk was never about great graphics. It was the gameplay. Also, they said projectiles for certain missions is all..this obviously won't be Call of Tony hawk duty.

It probably will come out on PS3/360 - the franchise is too big to bypass the millions of owners of the old gen consoles, Fifa is a prime example of making the most out of the consoles till the bitter end. Neither 360 or PS3 is at that stage yet.
