Yeah, let's not become hypocrites now just because it's Sony. As was blabbered on every Xbox article/game/announcement since sharing their exclusives with PC, this will kill PS5. It devalues the brand, and gives fewer reasons to buy a console.
Good for Sony, good for PC, bad for PlayStation. If you think those who waited this whole generation without buying a PS4 are suddenly going to buy a PS5 after playing this game ("seeing what they are missing out" like Hulst ...
Nvidia is indirectly profiting from these developers? What would the service be used for if games didn't exist? GeForce Now is surely using these games to advertise the service. Developers and Publishers simply want a piece of the pie. Business is business.
Devil May Cry V isn't a demanding game by any chance. The performance issues start to rise with CPU-intensive games that use more cores/threads, (e.g., Monster Hunter World).
I feel like piracy is being blamed for sales that don't exist. If piracy isn't a thing, you won't magically see boosted sales. There are four kinds of people who pirate:
1. Testers: they are unsure whether they'd like the game or not, so they download it illegally to try it. If they like it, they usually buy it (if they bought it legally and didn't like it, they'd refund it, losing sales either way);
The problem with any online game is, no matter how you design the game, people will never play it as intended. Campers in Shooters, Loners in Team-Based/Co-op, Feeders in MOBAs, Griefers in Survival, Gankers in MMOs, Trolls in any, and Cheaters on PC.
What did you expect from people who are willing to throw cash at a company that has zero respect to its fans, never bothers to fix its games, tries to lock mods under paywall, and is one of the most predatory and greedy in the industry (and its lead is a pathological liar)?
AAA games that don't sell at least 1 million copies are a bomb considering the budgets poured in to making them. However, I've noticed that many recent AAA games are outsourced to Chinese, Malaysian, or Indian development companies, most likely to reduce costs.
While it uses the same LGA1151 socket, the i9-9900K needs a Z370 or Z390 MoBo to function. And don't go for the i9-9900K. It's pointless. The fastest gaming CPU right now is the i7-9700K (if we neglect the unnecessary, pricey limited edition i9-9900KS).
