They have some of the best, I actually agree. I do seem to remember a lot of bitterness around nintendo competing against itself with both highest rated games last year. But then we do know nintendo gets a free pass, just look at wii u. ;)
"so ya i will defend both sony and nintendo"
"im not in defence mode"
I also like how mere observations are enough for fanboys to label me a fanboy of the opposite side. It seems to be a need. Note that I didn't mention xbox once in my previous post, that I'm a ms diehard is what you interpreted on your own. Honestly I haven't owned a home console or actual gaming rig since ps2 and gamecube. I have no overly strong allegiance to any side as my...
Yeah, it's pretty important to you right now that power doesn't matter. Ps5 will definitely be here soon because sony depends on its playstation brand to stay afloat seeing as they get wrecked in every other market. Hang in there.
It's getting hard to tell anymore whether it's salt or tide pods.
Haha, so go on the defense and bash an entire country in the name of your video game box. But I understand, the moment sony loyalists no longer have the most powerful console it slowly eats you alive. Some of you will say "I'm not being defensive you just own the wrong lump of plastic" and others will say "Graphics/resolutions aren't everything" until your next console arrives at which point it'll be "our graphics/resolutions are superior you fools" w...
Uh oh, psn must be down again.
Funny how it's no longer about graphics now that xb1x is here, unless we're discussing switch. We all know how that's going to turn out once ps5 arrives. (Hint: vanilla ps4 vs. xb1.)
You misunderstand. I'm not an Xbox fanboy either and there's almost no reason to be one anymore. The price of graphics cards will come down every year, yes. The cost of larger and larger developer teams will not however. You're entitled to pay whatever you want for your games, just be ready to pay a bit more if sony doesn't cave and follow microsoft into games as a service.
Don't act like you've never bragged about base ps4's higher resolutions o...
I tried a couple older games, one on wii and another on 3ds. Managed to kill a few things and make myself some armor but I couldn't find a lasting appeal in either game. It's always been a huge franchise in Japan and they've all reviewed pretty well, maybe it just isn't for me. This one is reviewing particularly well though, maybe you'll find something you like.
@sampsonon Okay so then next gen once games look even sharper and require bigger teams and budgets to make more technically impressive games, what happens then? Will they continue with a $60 price tag per game and sell their product at a loss for your satisfaction, begin making technically unimpressive games that look rough compared to the ones on xbox, inflate prices to keep development sustainable, introduce microtransactions or go games as a service if ms got away with it? Considering we...
This is a very nintendo move on microsoft's part. Xbox couldn't keep up so they're looking for a different win condition. You do realize if they see success sony is going to do the same, right? They don't have the guts to try anything new until someone else has proven it works.
Enter offended sony fans.
@frosty Always kind of thought that about that dumb blue light on the ds4.
Shouldn't anyway. Their characters don't have the same allure as something like mario or pikachu. Ps4 has exclusives for days but individually no one cares about them or their characters. It's about the number of exclusives, not the quality of each one. Sony relies more on things like having the first console to play dvds and their brand recognition getting them as many multiplats as possible, not selling you main characters.
Lol remote play. Enjoy your input lag and ps4 games on your phone in range of your wifi.
Also pc has other games to play, no thanks.
Yeah, sony has never tried to imitate nintendo only to fail terribly.
God of war, spider-man and days gone are going to be the three bigger titles with the first being goty contender. Also possibly death stranding. Detroit is going to disappoint unfortunately. The other titles are a little more niche or otherwise lack the same pedigree but it'll be another solid year for ps4. Very comparable to horizon, uncharted, crash, gt sport with other exclusives like neir, persona 5 and nioh.
I'll buy it if there are updated visuals and subtle quality of life improvements. Yes. For me it's about what is the remake of. Why the outrage? You have new stuff coming.
A 91 still looks better than an 89. ;)
Incentives for something as dumb as brand loyalty, haha. That's what first and second party are for genius.
