It's pretty random I find. Every ps2 I knew about was dying from allegedly normal use and I had a ps2 slim that displayed games poorly. Got rid of that, bought an original model and had no issues.
Ps4 sounds like it's about to blow up playing the games it has, it doesn't need everyone developing for it. Looking forward to reports of tlou 2 and gow 3 making consoles scream to death lol.
Sounds like a lot of work for maintaining a home console. Do you really have to clean it once a week and place it on blocks so it has room to breathe or else it sounds like a vacuum cleaner until it blows up?

@kneon You mean like how gaming rigs killed off home consoles? Nope. The difference is it's obvious that a device from nintendo is a better gaming machine than a phone which is more for multitasking. Also no one uses tablets anymore.
@Majin-vegeta In a way. As a brand sony has caught up due to a couple of nintendo's failings but I guarantee you more people know who donkey kong is vs nathan drake or kratos.
The senior team has been working on this while a junior team put out the last two games, so no. You have to figure nintendo fully expected to put pokemon on switch.

@vergilxx3 You see, every core dragon quest release day is a japanese national holiday. To put it in perspective dragon quest viii sold nearly 5 million on ps2. Horizon zd just reached 4.1 million and persona 5 will never come close. Dqix destroyed all of that on ds. Dq as a series has sold more than the entire metal gear ip. I try not to be the guy who tells you your opinion is bad but facts are making your opinion look bad.
@vergilxx3 I don't see why not myself but then I don't feel so threatened when other systems also get support because the success of my system doesn't define me. You are more than your unreasonable bias toward ps man, get help so you can find a sense of self-worth somewhere else. At this point your brand is safe. It's strong enough to carry an otherwise mediocre electronics company on its own and doesn't need scrubby fanboys defending it. She doesn't need you.

Fact is that while we need the ps brand in the industry, just like their competitors, the strictly sony fanbase is mostly made up of garbage people who don't realize the implications of everyone else quitting consoles to develop for ps. They're literally demanding the end of the games industry but eh, sheep were never known to be smart animals.
