Making the odd mobile game has been one of the best things nintendo has done in terms of marketing and exposure. They're small projects taking nothing away from switch. 3ds and the patent for a possible next gen ds are switch's current problem. If 90% of nintendo's efforts were focused on switch it would be their greatest system bar none.
And how much the price of games rise in the struggle for realism!
Oh look, another thing I called months ago. Gaas is an unpopular way around climbing aaa development costs as are microtransactions, but games are getting bigger and more graphically intensive all the time so something has to give. Expect $80 ps5 games and forced gaas on xbox.
Okay, so say they make a new all-stars that is nearly 1-1 with smash only with less popular characters, bland stages with grey and brown color palettes and less polished mechanics unbefitting of evo. It would have to work out at least as well as the first game right?
Or if you're a smash fan you could just buy a switch.
That's close enough to what they did. Would probably be better off going 3d and avoiding the stigma from smash altogether.
Alloy and updated kratos. Not so crazy.
Agreed, simultaneous release with smash would be hilarious.
The hundreds, maybe thousands I don't know, of backgrounds in ff7 were pictures. There weren't fully rendered environments besides the overworld and small boxes you battled in. These pictures merely conveyed the massive locations needing built from the ground up. Not to mention the new script, battle system, mechanics for bits like driving vehicles on the overworld and escaping shinra tower on your bike. Unless the remake is scaled way back from the original the game in its parts is n...
You're right, years after smash 5, pokemon, fire emblem, metroid prime 4 and inevitably several others. That's the problem with announcing games too early. Sqeenix is the worst about this because they usually run into development issues after early announcements but Kojima had almost nothing but drawings when he announced death stranding. Kind of sketchy no?
Haha that's mean, you mentioned vita. Outside of low budget anime games there's not much of a use for vita anymore. Anyone who says remote play, wii u gimmicks with added lag aren't a redeeming quality in any system.
They've been fairly incompetent for years really, having development issues and delaying games into oblivion after announcing them. What I don't get is how it took square two years to decide yeah we can't use this shit, were they just not in contact with cyberconnect2?
You're probably right, called this a while ago. Hamaguchi took the project back from cyberconnect2 deeming their work "unusable". Allegedly it was scrapped, two years wasted. The earliest we'll get part midgar will be 2021 on ps5. The promise has been made.
97 x 2 > 94
Let's see how many care.
You're so sensitive.
And how long have you waited for GoW? Spiderman? Tlou 2? Two or three e3's in a row? Don't worry bud, they'll get here one day.
Really though. Stop getting fans excited for a game releasing in 2020. It's cruel as hell.
Pokemon would likely have trouble. Smash isn't worried about releasing the same day as anything.
This. I'm fully expecting to hear about another wario ware though.
If switch were a cheap feeling piece of junk with no support and no idea what it was made for it would be neglected like wii u.
But it's a successful hybrid system which is why you're mad.
The industry is a business after all. Do you think games are free to make? Microtransactions, gaas and sony's upward creeping first party prices wouldn't be in conversations.
