This sounds like what I want: something closer to the first game than the second. No mention of Facehuggers, though; those little buggers were what really scared the hell out of me back then. Everything that could be construed as a scuttling noise set me completely on edge for weeks after.
Sounds like a RIDE sequel to me. I didn't pick up the first after mediocre reviews, but I'm kinda hoping this one'll be better - even though I really don't need another plastic peripheral in my house!

Is it wrong that I'm actually really interested in this? I mean, it's Rockstar, so it'd bound to be worth a look at the very least. That, and I'm all about film noir and can't wait for a really solid film noir game.
Not a fan of the idea. I don't particularly have anything to hide, but when it comes to things like WoW - which do have a number of obsessive people, some of whom I've had this misfortune of meeting - I'd prefer to make it harder to track my usual times, where possible.
I really do want this so badly. Been waiting on this since it was announced for *Japan* after the genius of the rest of the series.
Interested to see where this goes, plot-wise. Brood War left plenty of stuff unexplained and even with a few tantalising hints in the last few missions, and with the way Blizzard tell their stories, I'm looking forward to going through this and seeing what it's all about.
I'm going to have to give this a whirl sometime. I can see some, um, unique opportunities for griefing that I'd like to explore.

Absolutely agree. The first game was rubbish, but that was down to the mechanics, not the setting or the ideas. I'm really happy IO's getting a second shot at it, and I reckon they might be able to do something worthwhile this time.
I'm the opposite actually. Loving the really tactical ship combat when there are a few people involved, but the away team stuff is a bit dull.
Nice to know they're spending their time making sure the game can be the best it can be.

Wow. That's practically identical, albeit shorter. It's like a cut-down version of the Wrath cinematic, but with a bottle instead of a frost wyrm.
