It better drive sales everywhere. As long as they don't screw up the community and coop features then it's going to be amazing period.
Yeah I would buy one tomorrow if I could be assured it had the 65nm chips, better heatsink, HDMI, and the new quieter DVD drive. But you just can't know so I gotta wait. But it does make sense why they wouldn't mark it. If they did people would be outraged who payed the same price for an older unreliable version of the product with missing features. There's about 30 types of 360's out there now with all the revisions so subdividing it past Core/Premium/Elite/Halo3 would make things even worse...
Shouldn't be news on here. But still pretty funny.
Yeah without matchmaking for it the potential is kinda ruined for custom games.
Yeah seriously I was getting worried with how many videos they kept showing. Must take a hell of a lot of work to make all those. Better put towards the in game cimemas.... although most of that stuff was probably just cut from them.
Yeah this doesn't really make sense. Unless Sony is planning some kind of relaunch/price cut this spring with all the great games coming out then they should just get it out asap. Might just be a bunch of Sixaxis controllers in storage they wanna get rid of first. And they better be making it standard in the package as soon as it's availiable.
They're just changing the cheap version to Xbox 360 Arcade version or whatever. It still doesn't have a hard drive which still limits game developement (and always would anyways because of the Core) and is still not a good deal unless you are never going to go online ever..... in which case why are you buying a 360?
Well god dammit I wish they wouldn't try and hide these things from us. I'd probably go to the store today and get one if I could be assured I was getting the latest and most reliable version. So much BS will all these SKUs and redesigns. Probably around about 20 different iterations in all with all the little changes they've made.
Hmmm that might explain why it looks horribly jaggy on my monitor compared to regular TVs. Seriously it's really terrible even on my small 24" screen. Same thing happens with a lot of multiplats too from PS3 and 360.
There's nothing they could take out that would make a significant price difference and not kill functionality. Card readers are the only thing that can go without a bad impact. USB is obviously needed that's just stupid. Backwards compatability from emulation costs nothing so whats the point? Wifi doesn't cost much to include and promotes PSP functionality. Even the 80GB HDD is actually probably the cheapest to manufacture right now since it's a laptop standard and 40GBs are phased out.
Yeah but it was kinda necessary. Split vertical is just horrible and split horizontal would not work on widescreen either. 4:3 horizontal split is a good move imo. But seriously the graphics do suck pretty bad.
Yeah I just blew through the campaign with my friend on ledgendary in 7 hours. Played a few multiplayer matches. The campaign is certainly better than Halo 2's travesty but still not really too spectacular. The multiplayer is just Halo2 with more weapons and new maps (which kinda suck). I do like it a lot more than Halo2 but it's still nothing too special. Kinda pissed ledgendary coop was so easy.... nowhere to go from there... 4 players would be a joke.
I dunno Forge and the replay system are so extremely limited. I had high hopes but was pretty shocked at how limited it was... there was more advanced level editing in Timeplitters for christs sake. Fun to screw around with for awhile but there's just nothing you could do with it past that. Definitely many hours of entertainment but not to the point where you're really creating anything significant.
Interesting bonus to screw around with but the next big thing? I seriously doub...
Come on people you can't really defend them on this. Including it built in costs about $5 (at least on PS3 component cost lists) and would be useful for a large percentage of people. They just want to get away with ripping people off by charging $100 for a proprietary accessory many people might need.
Awesome its about time. This will be so perfect if more games (especially PSP/PS3 PSN games) are playable over the connection. It's such a pain to leave your PS3 running indefinitely while you're gone that its just not worth using the remote play. This will hopefully make it streamlined and really useful.
It was pretty obvious that the site was run by fakeboys trying to make Sony fans look stupid. Which is really far far sadder than just being a fanboy. There was so much effort put into all that crap.
Maybe if Halo2 had actually been good that would apply. And it is only really popular with a small, but loud group of gamers.
Man this would be just terrible. This format war should've never existed. With PS3 on the Blu-ray side there's really no chance for HDDVD to dominate. Should've given in early and worked something out instead of all this BS.
Horrible colors. Puke green and copper.... neither is good and the mix is even worse. Still people will buy it like crazy because it's the "Halo" 360.
Could've done much much better in the design. I would've got this version too if it didn't look so terrible.
That just sucks. Doesn't make much sense either because they've shown people playing it on PS3 running perfectly fine.
