Very strange. I think "sold" is not the right word since you don't buy them, it is a separate download. I think this is to stop people from playing the game early so even if u have the disc version it only has the battle hub which is online only and the offline content becomes available for download when the game releases. Smart but also scummy and in the long run it might become an issue.
Honestly as time has passed i think it's gotten worse. I don't think to myself "oh i wanna replay that game" but with KH 2 i don't mind replaying that someday.
It takes more development time, expensive, higher likely hood things will break when u have more stuff in your game, visuals might take a small hit, there are reasons why, especially when most wont think about stuff like this. And in some games u don't want that since it can break the game balance etc.
I'm all for it if and when it makes sense but i don't see publishers spending time and money for something like this especially now when so many games launch with issues t...

Still waiting for RT obsession to die away. It is an option not something you should have as a selling point for your game imo, not talking about elden ring of course. Such a HUGE performance impact for something you wouldn't even think about if it wasn't pushed so heavily. It is a cool feature don't get me wrong but i wish it was treated more like any other graphics option rather than something that will make your game "good".

I'm playing Stranger of Paradise right now and some of these missions on higher difficulties (which i think u need to play to access the new dlc?) are insane. A tiny room with bunch of enemies which u need to kill to fight a boss who spawns with adds. Like wtf some of this shit is just ridiculous. Imagine buying the season pass and getting stuck and never getting to the DLC lol.
And the one shots too hoollly. I'm trucking through it slowly tho.
