I've always enjoyed the RE series even with the tank controls & auto-aiming going all the way back to PS1. I owned RE2, RE1 Remake (NGC), RE Zero, RE3, RE: CV and RE4. I couldn't stand RE3 because of the initial cheap Nemesis random encounters on first play through and tank control combo until I unlocked unlimited rocket launcher.
I finally got around to playing the PS3 RE5 demo Sunday and was I very disappointed. Tank controls, and no shooting and moving did it for me. Aft...
I was able to use the coupon without any real issue at BB yesterday. I didn't ever think of paying full price for this game but $20 (with coupon) was too good to resist.
After 2 hrs of play last night I think it's a good game so far. Looks good not great. Wasn't too fond of Digital Extremes work with PS3 Dark Sector because environment textures were muddy and blurry. I do like the semi-environmental interactions with the mutant powers whatever it's called. Big 222MB or so size...
I think ANet is great for continuously listening to fans and doing proper updates. I own the entire GW series (campaigns and expansion) and have been playing since its first week release in 2005 but I'm ready to move onto GW2 though if it ever releases.
I want some news on GW2's progress unless it's an extremely huge GW change such as option for a persistent world, etc. Now that would be a great update for many players not to mention it would renew any interest in the GW serie...
Yeah, great news for both consoles, but what is the HDD space needed for the PS3 version if any? After Dead Space took so little HDD space and looking good as with KZ2 not needing install news as well. I'm so looking forward to RE5, F.E.A.R. 2, and KZ2. Trying to kill some time playing Fracture ($20 at Target now) until one of those 3 games release.
This doesn't surprise too many people as 10 hrs is typical length for most current games these days. I was hoping for more, but I can live with that. The long wait until release date.
DRM has just turned me off PC gaming. My current PC is still capable of playing the latest stuff but just reading up on the DRM complaints I haven't purchased anything new lately such as Crisis Warhead and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. prequal. Two games I was looking forward to and now all I have is regret from purchasing my two MSI GF8800GT OC for SLI last FEB & MAR. I was already able to play most games with my GF7800GT fine. Personally, I don't see any reasons to purchase future videocards/GPUs if D...
PS3 Orange Box for $15 is a good buy for anyone who has not experienced HL2 universe and doesn't mind FPS/action adventure. I paid $30 at Target for this several months ago and that was really only for EP2. I already owned HL2 & EP1 for PC. Yes, it doesn't look as sharp and shiny as PC counter-part. Some chugging for EP2 here and there even when there is nothing intensive happening on screen. Still playable and last I tried TF2 (MP) seemed to be working prior to the holidays. I recall one...
Very nice, that is a lot of games in such a short time. I was only able to purchase LBP & R2 in NOV. You'll be a busy happy gamer throughout the holiday.
I've got 9GB left on my 60GB HDD. I've also got some recent demoes that I haven't gotten to trying then deleting (R2 & LBP are to blaime). This should be the new PS3 trend as Uncharted, R2 and even Dead Space don't require gigs of HDD install space to play smoothly and look so darn good. This is great information. I'm about to purchase for my nephew and brothers the new MGS4 PS3 (metal grey) 40GB bundle each. KZ2 is definitely one of the games we will all be playing together online since ...
Great information for all the PS3 owners low on original HDD space.
Singstar is quite fun. Definitely a party game worth picking up. My only problem is with the online store which isn't up to date and doesn't have all songs from the PS2 game disc. Weak selection currently, I spent over $30 for 25 download songs and my list still seems pretty small as half of those included with the PS3 SingStar Bundle disc aren't very good. Unknown artists or the unpopular/unknown songs by well known artists which makes little sense. It seems Sony went cheap on the licensing ...
A good score. I thought the first one dragged on a little too long but I really wished R2 would have been the same length because it was more enjoyable overall. Still 10-12 hours isn't too bad either. The MP is very fun even if ranked matches are difficult to find. Experienced several network issues/errors quite frequently yesterday and today.
That is one cool looking PS3. I'm sure the bidders are really well off to purchase a brand new car... I mean PS3. Some athlete maybe, or some rich gamer kid even if his bidder name says otherwise. Who knows, but that PS3 is awesome looking. I was lucky my bro was in NY the time Kojima was signing and he brought me a MGS4 game cover signed. It's not worth anything but still Kojima signature on a plain cover is still pretty nice.
If it does come to consoles hopefully it includes both Crysis and Warhead expansion similar to what Valve's Orange Box did with the Half Life 2 series. Wishful thinking anyway.
Circuit City has it for $25 if you feel 6-8 hrs of gameplay is questionable for its current retail price. Free delivery over $24 or something like that so if you don't have a CC nearby and can wait just purchase it online if possible.
And how is that a bigger mistake? Enjoy Clear Sky's system crashes or Crysis which is also another system hog but at least the previews have been good.
I had high hopes for this game. Couldn't wait to get my hands on it next Monday if it actually releases on that new changed to date (US). The original was extremely buggy/glitchy at release and I eventually enjoyed it after four to five patches later and a GPU upgrade (7800GT to 8800GTs). Not many good reviews so far. Bugs/glitches, performance and system crash issues seems too much all at once. I guess I have to look forward to Crysis Warhead next Thursday.
Mandatory installs isn't a very good idea. My 60GB (more like 55GB) is starting to seem small. For all those who insist on people upgrading HDD which only increases on the total cost of the PS3 defeating the purpose of the included HDD for just gaming purposes. I would rather buy a PS3 w/out a HDD then add my own notebook SATA HDD later for cheaper and more space. There is always the option of deleting installs from previous games that gamers aren't currently replaying but then gamers would a...
Awesome, thanks Fishy Fingers. Bubble for you.
I bought Haze at Target about one month or so ago for $20.98 clearance/sale red sticker tag. 5GB(?) install later and about 1 hr into the gameplay I felt ripped off. It might be okay for PS2, but for PS3, it just doesn't amaze. I couldn't get into it and I'm pretty forgiving. I paid $10 for Turok at BB and I actually enjoyed it so much more. I haven't touched Haze since. I guess I'm going to have to endure to get my moneys worth since I wouldn't get anything for trading or selling it.
