They didn't have microtransactions, they sold well, they were obviously successful without them or we wouldn't be on the 3rd sequel. Or did EA put in microtransactions to re-coup all their losses from Dead Space 1 and 2....because everyone knows you continue...

They DID change SSX A LOT! Do you remember the original Deadly Decent reveal? People hated it because they attempted to make it more mature. Shortly after that, they even got rid of the Deadly Decent sub title and steered focus away from that.

There is one thing about all of this that does make me happy however. Lately we have been hearing that "the hardcore forum gamers" don't hold that much power. That we are just a "vocal minority" in the grand scheme of things. Well, this is proof right here, that we have more power then they want us to believe. Voting with our voices AND our dollars for what we think is right does make a difference.

I think one of the main reasons for the touch pad is to make parity with the Vita.
If you have touch controls on Vita and on PS4 developers will have an easier time making games work for both devices without changing their vision for control schemes.

strongly disagree. The Vita will be just fine in the future once its potential is realized with the pairing of PS4 and streaming.
Yes the Vita is not selling very well out the gate, but I really don't think all of its features are revealed just yet. It is obvious from that conference that Sony has big plans for the future of Vita. It is far from dead or forgotten in the eyes of its creator and sales will most definitely improve.

I think one of the big reasons they put a touch pad on the DS4 is to make parity with the Vita's touch interface. That means less compatibility issues for games regardless on what console you play them on.
I am just glad I already have a Vita to go with my eventual PS4.

An all digital future puts more power in the hands of devs and pubs and gives less control and options to the consumer.
Of course he/they want and foresee a digital future, because it will undoubtedly benefit them the most for that outcome to happen; the sooner the better in their eyes.
