This is an excellent title for the PSvita, not that the author is saying otherwise, and I am having a blast with it. While I don't necessarily like to use the word killer app when it comes to video games, cause after all, Gravity rush is a game and it's one that is innovative with a deep technical game play that doesn't hinder fun and exploration. It is a must have game for any PSvita owners who have a taste for adventure.
Not sure if I agree about the music score, I find myself humming a lot, it's quite memorable. There's a learning curve to the gravity shift, once you're roaming around towns, you get a good handle on all the moves. The one that still gives me a bit of trouble is the gravity slide (probably cuz I suck at it lol).
Gravity rush has a great plot line and it's quite funny at times. The one free roaming game it reminds me of is Infamous, they're alike in many ways, i.e....
Journey's ending was a new beginning, at least that's how I viewed it. It's open to interpretation.
I think both have incredible plot lines and potential from what we've seen thus far. One would hope that quantic dream would actually develop a story around Kara, once Beyond: two souls has reached a conclusion.
I was deeply moved by Kara's plea to remain "alive" and I was invested in her story just to see where things would lead.
QD will probably have a place for her in the future, in whatever venue they may choose.
A Shining Force reboot...what? A guy can dream.
Time to shift the focus to the Vita, or give it a share amount of time during the conference. There a lot of titles coming out on it, some that require show and tell.
Sony should tell what line up to expect for this holiday sales to get gamers hyped up. As much as I don't care for it, people want their COD and Assassin's creed III. Those two are system sellers.
I want to see sucker punch work on an Infamous Vita title. I feel like they'd take great advantage of the...
I picked a psvita up for a really good deal, and I am loving Gravity Rush so far.
It's just great hardware, great interface, it handles great. I can see people's reluctance to buy until their favorite games come out. I bought mine cause I couldn't pass on the amazing deal and I haven't regretted my purchase one bit.
I want this game :)
I'm sure Sony understands that it must provide exclusive titles to the Vita as well as flagship titles from the PS3 for cross-play, or for those who don't own a PS3 (yet). It gives gamers a choice between which platform they'd prefer to play this on, whether you like to kick butt on the go or in your living room.
This has a lot of potential, I'm truly excited about this title. The presentation was stunning and it's still in development. Best of luck on this new IP and I hope it boosts PSvita sales.
As long as mine say: "We'll bang, K?"
My mom is addicted to angry birds and fruit ninja. She started gaming at age 50; and to think that we've had a console in the house since the early days of the Sega master system ( she refers to every gaming console I've own as "a nintendo"), tsk tsk tsk. She does enjoy some motion controlled games, she's a total sucker for casual gaming, hehe.
How about a release date for FFVS13??? That'll do you some good square.
well did you choose the blue pill or the red pill?
It was a good list in terms of my own personal taste in games. Great mix of RPG's and action/adventure games.
I would love to see shining force back to its roots, and another grandia. I've always loved the megaman X franchise, but man does it kick my ass in utter frustration lol.
A shinobi game is always welcome if they go the Ninja Gaiden route (not as of late, of course).
And there'll always be a place in my heart for panzer dragoon.
It will stem such titles as: Ping Pong Pata Pong, Deadly Kombat, The oldest chinese secret rolls: slyrim, Chinese Communist revolution: guerrilla warfare 3 (CCR3)
While this seems like a possible GOW4 announcement, you know what game could actually use a sequel?
Heavenly sword. If Kratos can come back to life , so can Nariko. Sure Kai could take the lead, but I don't buy into her as a viable hero.
Santa Monica would do well to work on it and Sony should allow them to do so.
Oh they were just a few letters short of mer-cha-ching!neries
I was just going to comment about him...mayor haggar from final fight!! Sexy as hell.
I don't care much for MP when it comes to a great adventure/action game, but when it's done well and tastefully, it's worth taking a look. I doubt it will take away from the course of the main campaign; in this case, it's only a bonus. And if it turns out well ( given santa Monica's track record), it'll give the game a few more legs.
