All this controversy over "always on" is ridiculous. It's MS's choice to have it always on or not. They aren't violating some perceived God-given right or breaking some law. If they do it and you don't like it, DON'T BUY IT. It's that simple. You have a choice as well people. I'm not going to buy it if they do, but I'm certainly not going to complain about a company exercising their freedom of choice. They'll make one, and I'll make one...
Gimme a break. This has nothing to do with Xbox users now, just in the future. Are you forced to be online all the time with your 360? No. So play the console you have now and stop whining. If you don't like what MS does for the next gen, then don't buy it. Speak with your cash. There are other options to be had.
I never bought Diablo 3, Sim City, or any other game with always on DRM, and I won't buy a console that does the same thing.
Neither of which turn on your console to commence downloading immediately. Not the same thing. With a PS3 you can turn it on remotely with a PSP or Vita, but there isn't a low power state for downloads which sucks. It's a nice evolution of what is around right now and will make things easier when I'm away from home.
Agreed. They may dial back their "western influenced" games because of their view on those games' performances, which is a shame as they were all very good and would seem like great foundations to build on. Plus, if they actually released the games gamers are asking for instead of denying/delaying them for years upon years and churning out sequels to games people DON'T want, that might help LOL

Agreed. Plus, what publisher would have the balls to cut out 80% of the market (assuming the articles figures of 5m Xbox, 20m PS4)to try and entice customers? That's just stupidity. Same logic with timed exclusives or DLC. Angering 80% of your consumers is a good way to lose money.
