the firsr resistance had no competition with other games for sales.
you know how many good games coming out for ht eps3 in 2008. resistance was a shallow shooter that sold while gamers waited for lair which was a disappointment.
gta4, mgs will be he biggest games of 2008 for sony.
but please you really cant equate what the sales will be for gears 2 vs kz2 thorugh pre-orders and first day sales, I can't imagine.
who knows sony is still looking for that 4million+ game and it wont be Kz2.
gears 2 will be like halo 2 sales. and if they take some ques and make it better, if not rushed like ms rushed bungie after halo 1, gears 3 will b close to halo 3 sales.

MS has over 90% of the OS market with really no serious competition. Also that number is probably way bigger because of PIRACY.
Just as Sony sold 90 million PS2 so we know some might be waiting to upgrade. Hey I still like XP. When vista runs the same I could use XP forever.
The only thing is the console market changes every 6 years so eventually people will upgrade or buy the competition but in the OS market, I know some still use win 98. More likely some will ...

It would be easy to say network servers are not perfect, as the user-base grows it may catch u by surprise, so you add more servers and you do what you gotta do. No biggie

360 fans do not go haywire over these articles this is not Lair, R$C or heavenley sword.
360 has 10+ games with 90%, they could care less about 1 or 2 bad reviews.
those 3 PS3 games probably sold less than 1/3 of what ME, Halo has and thats just 2 games.
Keep them reviews coming the games have sold very modest.
thats kick ass that replay function of the game is sweet, imagine how much footage we could have seen the last 7 years with halo 1 and 2 if it had that option.

the closest game I have played to these maglev driving type games was that jetmotto on play station.
