The 360 have already sold almost 30% of the original Xbox install-base.
The PS3 have sold around 6 million with a reasonable install-base of 80 million Ps2 owners.

software sales are really really poor, this is what developers look at.
you could have 50 million ps3 users and if a developer makes a game that sells a million or less that is a bad ratio.
