Why the hell would you play games from 2005? Do you have a life?

Nice thing bout consoles is that you can look forward to a fresh new game about every 3 weeks or more often. Do you see that on PC's? no......... that's why your playing games from 2005....bwahahahahahahhahahaha

So let me get this straight....you play games from 2005 with a handful of people on the servers, miss out on most of the amazing new and upcoming games like Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Metal G...

So your sitting around playing a MP game that's over 3 years old? Gee, the servers must be packed with people huh? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ahahahaha...

Do ou ever get out of the house? There's more to life than playing 3 year old games by yourself so you can stare at the vegetation. Are you that much of a loser?

Of course you are going to spend less and less to make your PC look better than the current consoles. Current consoles are aging and PC hardware...

Even though a super high end gaming rig looks slightly better than the PS3, it doesn't look $2000 better. Most PC games are developed multiplatform and there is no way the dev will have the time and recourses to develop specifically for a top of the line AMD 5970. The PC will have slightly better AA, a somewhat better frame rate, slightly better textures/resolution, etc. These differences are not worth the thousands that PC gamers spend on a high end rig. Furthermore, games developed excl...

99% of those revenues are SUBSCRIPTION BASED MMO fees, NOT SOFTWARE sales.

These revenues are limited to a handful of MMO's, primarily World of Warcraft and Starcraft. That's why Activision Blizzard is the richest dev.

However, every other dev will not touch MMO's b/c of the time/resources it takes to develop a following.

Notice how that article doesn't give any numbers? That's b/c steam sales are TRIVIAL.

All major Develepers are moving away from the PC....period. Piracy, leaked games, etc. The PC is a NIGHTMARE for developers.

Look at the numbers below to see how important PC gaming is to the major devs.

Odonell1985..I'm sure all of your stuff is legit right? So tell me more about those $35 LV bags. How is it that a bag that retails for thousands can be sold for a profit at $35?

Piracy on PC is much, much, much, MUCH greater than on 360. Like 95% v 5%.

So let me get this straight steve, do you think that devs are not snubbing the PC? bwahahahahahhaaha.

The PC is basically a massive MMO platform (and that will probably change too with Blizzard coming to 360 and Sony pushing the Agency, Free Realms, DC Online, etc.) For gaming (other than MMO's) it is irrelevant.

As for not having to upgrade, that's because there are barely a...

Do you think steam is selling 13 billion a year in digital downloads? No.

Do you think the PC has more software sales than consoles? not even close

Every major developer is giving a cold shoulder to the PC b/c the platform is becoming irrelevant. Piracy, leaked games, etc.

Sorry my friend but PC gaming sold just over 500 million in 2009 (retail gaming INCLUDES some retail online sites ....and steam sales are trivial). This data comes from NPD which is the ultimate authority on the game industry for analysts.

Also, check out Pachter's video on the PC gaming industry released yesterday (start at 5 minute mark)

Only 6% of the game market last year and declining
