Of course Greenberg is going to say that there isn't a new console anytime SOON. Anouncing a new console would kill demand for the Natal add on to release this holiday, not to mention existing xbox sales. The 360 (with natal), which is dating quickly, will live on as the casual console for MS, along with the 720 which will hit in fall 2011.
U2 was much more of a playable game...i.e. this is a much more passive game.
The Halo Reach hype machine will hammer this game ad nauseum until launch......I think I'm going to vomit.
MS, just like Sony, will be moving to the 2 console model in the future. The 360 will be the casual console with Natal and will have a huge library of shovelware. In fall 2011, the next xbox will be released.....and this will targeted to the hardcore gamers.

I played the beta and the graphics are NOWHERE NEAR the quality of Uncharted 2.......NOT EVEN CLOSE....nice try DICE but what a load of crap that comment is.

Cloud based gaming is solid but there is a noticeable difference in several factors primarily frame rate.
That should sell around 7m copies at least.
Mass Effect 2 may look ever so slightly better than the original but the difference is miniscule. We have not even seen Halo Reach gameplay yet. Bottom line, the 360 is a dated console. 720 will hit in 2011

The whole point is to make games so that people keep coming back for more. I have been playing games since the days of intellivision and atari 2600.....and if a game was way too difficult, I would lose interest after a few hundred tries after being stuck in the same spot. Today, I will keep coming back for more b/c checkpoints make them more approachable.
And those consoles will hit in fall 2011 along with the Wii HD. Their coming people.
There is a large group of early console adopters that will be ready to buy new consoles in 2011 and I am one of them.

If they talk about new consoles now, they will kill the market for Natal and existing 360's as people will wait for new consoles. Notice thy say no new consoles ANYTIME SOON. The 360 is dated and cracking at the seems. Many developers like Ubi and Crytek have openly stated they are developing for the next gen with Ubi in particular hiring over 1300 people to work on next gen consoles. Nintendo will anounce the Wii HD this year for launch next year. You think Sony and MS will sit around w...
