Yeah is doing well....with absolutely no numbers to back up what that means. That right there tells me that its not sustainable as a business model. You say they have deep pockets, which is true but a company cant keep losing money and term that as anything but a failure from a business percpective.
With Cory Barlog still at the helm I have no worries for the quality of GOW 2. Even if it doesnt reach the heights of the first its still going to be a better first party offering t...
Netflix lost money for many years, they only are profitable due to the sheer size of subscribers = 158 million. Disney have said that disney plus wont even break even till around 2024 and thats disney with many more millions of subs than game pass. Subsription models dont really work unless they are getting insane numbers of subribers like netflix which game pass isnt even close to getting.
Microsoft have lost most of the money for the development and ad costs for their fi...
From a business sense gamepass is terrible. Microsoft must be losing plenty of money due to give away games essentially for free. For consumers its gd. The one big thing thats bad is that it has very little compelling exclusive content. Basically nothing of the same quality of the likes of god of war, bloodborne or persona 5. They need to fix this badly next gen.
Shouldnt be called a remake as its not. Its a reimagining.
No chance this is correct. No way that 60% of switch owners only own a switch. Thats ridiculous. The switch is a secondary console not a primary one.
When your advantage is a subscription model you know your doing something wrong.
No its a handheld console. The handheld mode is the only real main advantage the switch has. The games look worse, run worse and cost more than its direct competitors. The fact u can play games on the go is the differentiation that will keep it relevent.
The ff7 intro is just incredible. Still probably the best intro to a game ever.
As its a handheld it will remain relevant as its different.
Yeah they werent good surprises ultimately. Im talking about quality software.
Certainly in gaming the switch is pretty poorly made. Between the analog drift to dissconnecting joy cons and docks that scratched screens the swicth has many hardware issues.
Halo 3 is by far the best in the series for me. Far better campaign than 2 that finished the fight as promised and multiplayer that took what was in 2 and built on it without completely overhauling. Reach's campaign was good but the multiplayer took a step back with loadouts and various powerups. This kickstarted a downward trent in quality for Halo multiplayer in future game.
Games wise will be the same old. I doubt there will be any big surprises ie new ip or anything. Zelda will be out end of year, doubtful a new mario, maybe a 2d one. Metroid is long away and might get bayonetta 3 at a push.
I do think they need some new revision of the hardware to continue interest that will go over to new consoles.
At the end of the day you can have all your great subscription models and backwards compatibility you want but if you dont have great exclusive games your done.
The xbox ones exclusive lineup this gen has been unbelievably bad. Theres no denying this. Nothing else really matters.
Very true
I liked witcher 3 but theres quite a few that i say top it. The elder scrolls games for one. Final fantasy is another.
Exclusive games sell consoles so no it shouldn't. Simple as that.
Im not a nig fan of 4 so a lot of improvements they could make.
The touch bar is literally used in every single ps4 game made. It also takes up a space on the controller that was used for NOTHING. So its not useless its now basically near essential.
The correct answer to this question is that we should want whatever Naughty Dog WANT to make themselves. You can get another studio sure, but straight away you know the quality will suffer. Do you really want that with a series that is synonymous with quality?
