You have no clue what you are talking about so best you stop pulling "2k, 3k" numbers out your ass. More than 50% of the screen in this concept demo was wasted on the virtual world simulation. I don't care how densely packed the pixels are on the Oled inside the rift... Pixels are pixels. Your fake virtual screen of only a real resolution of 960 x 540 or so is not better than my ACTUAL 1920x1080.

All these things have much cheaper alternatives that can do the same exact tasks, but vary in quality, speed, efficiency, etc. If you want to have the best experience, you have to pay for the best experience.
Both PS and X1 controllers have a few slip ups. I hate the bumpers on X1 but I love the triggers. The PS controller is great... but the analog sticks don't even compare to the X1 (Which is why I took the controller apart and swapped the sticks out)
Pretty crazy both sticks are the exact same size and you can do that. In the end, I purchased a Titan One so I can use the PS controller with the modified sticks on the X1 and I'm really happy with it... Still wish I had th...
Jesus, I have always purchased Titans simply because of the good resell value (Upgrade to the newest one annually for only a few hundred bucks)... But I don't see my resell value holding up quite as well this time around which really sucks. Their has always been enough of a reason to pick up a titan in the past in terms of performance... but not this time really. If I didn't already buy an X, I'd chose this any day of the week.
I love the titans simply because of the resell value. You overpay to start with your first titan card, but from then on out, you sell it used, invest a few more hundred dollars in a years time, and you'll constantly be at the top of the food chain. That's what I do anyways.
Practically Titan X performance as indicated by the leaked benches for that price would make this card quite the contender. Sure the X has 12GB of ram, but everyone knows that's practically a waste and that's coming from someone who has the X
I have to say, I really didn't think they would release this card in the beginning. A 980Ti costing just $200.00 less than a Titan X... That leaves little to no room for third party board manufactures to release their own, better performing versions. I mean great for customers I guess, just don't see how it makes business sense.
I'm really surprised you feel that way... I thought it looked rather boring. A lot of walking around, killing a few people, then some more walking... I too thought this looked fun from the trailers though. Perhaps it's the fact that it's such an early stage in the game
There is always something new and better around the corner with graphics cards. We don't even go 6 months without something new dropping. Buy when you needs a card.

I'm almost positive it's an optimization issue. I have an OCd Titan at 1400mhz and even I will go below 60 just looking at the back of Geralts head when using Witcher senses. Very annoying.
30?.... why? Frame rate is more important than graphics. Turn ultra down to high because it's barely noticeable and get your frames up
I have a Titan X and never drop below 60 BUT Nvidia Hairworks needs to be off. That thing is such a resource hog it's insane. I can get as low as 40s with Hairworks enabled. More than likely just poor optimization for the moment but yea, pretty ridiculous.
I think people are more forgiving of the downgrade in this game because, unlike watch dogs, this is actually a good game at it's core. Yes, it was downgraded, and yes, that is disappointing, but the game is still going to be great.
chatting with friends and constantly taking your mic off during cut-scenes so you don't get distracted is not worth going from 60FPS to 30FPS in my opinion.
I don't get this comment at all... we didn't get a single surprise from MS in terms of games. we knew Gears of War would make an appearance months ago. Forza is starting to taste like madden, a new one every year. Halo is a solid game, but it too is starting to feel milked and the demo they showed of the game was very lack luster.
