Xbox isn't going anywhere that part I agree with...
And to those who call for, or secretly lust at the thought of a MS departure from console gaming are anti-gaming. I thoroughly enjoy the Xbone, and though I'm not exactly thrilled at the idea of Xbone having a majority of its 1st party exclusives going to PC, I still cannot play them on my PS4, and I don't game on PC...so Xbone games are still kinda exclusive to me.
It's a perception thing .....
I cannot believe the defending for MS going on here. It's gone from Xbone has the best and more exclusives, to it doesn't matter if Xbone has no exclusives, and it doesn't matter if MS closes half their total amount of studios because they didn't produce nothing???
Wait! It's MS who greenlights and funds these studios, and MS don't then how are they supposed to make games?? ..and why are people defending every poor decision MS makes?
It's less about 'Worrying' and more about the 'Investment' people have made to the Xbox brand/eco system. It's all very well saying Oh well if the brand has to die then deal with it because you have no control over it ...that much is obvious.
People brought into the Xbox vision, and MS have basically betrayed the loyal fans time and time again. I only gpt my Xbone 1.5 month ago and have supported MS studios by buying 10 exclusive games, then they drop ...
Sorry, but this is what MS does historically...Buy up studios in their prime, do nothing spectacular with them, then MS dismantles or dissolves them
You have to ask yourself, is MS truly for gaming at its core? I'm staring to have my doubts. I don't regret buying an Xbone, the games are great, but MS should retain all Xbone games as 'exclusive' to Xbox and give up on this doomed PC convergence. I'm not trolling here, I'm a genuinely frustrated gamer. F...
I own Xbox One as well as my preferred console 'PS4'..so I do not want MS to exit the console business. But it seems no matter what MS does over multiple generations, the die hards accept any BS. It's insane to me the lengths some will go to protect the integrity of the Xbox.
MS have made terrible decision after terrible decision with Xbone, yet people still champion the console/company. It's sad to see how programmed these people are. It's like the ultim...
If this is true, I have to ask...
Where is the #@!!ing creativity??
When you put it like that it's hard to disagree The_Infected. I wanted to type that, but I've lost bubbles for less.
Sadly, I'm always self censoring whenever I write here .....'cos *N4G /
ROTR 60FPS ON PS4???
Good luck with that! /
Well Said!...Forza Horizon 2 is incredible, and I had just ordered Forza 6 (literally) 5 mins ago.
Yes there will be those who upgrade their PC's and forgo purchasing an Xbox One, but those are in the minority. The majority will still purchase the console to play the Fifa's, COD's, and Console Exclusives etc.
Plus price & ease of use/plug 'n play will always trump PC gaming. Xbox/Windows 10 is a thing now. Naysayers can crow it's poin...
Uncharted 4 is truly the benchmark PS4 game on so many levels...
Haven't seen anything that looks as good this entire generation. Imagine how incredible TLOU 2 will look!
I have absolutely no issue with any of the Xbone games going to PC...
I mean if Xbox/Windows are now considered as 'One', then surely 'One' should expect this, no? ...Anyway, if Sony said F@#/ it and realized so much money can be made on the PC, then I wouldn't feel threatened all the PS4 games are on PC. Certainly not! Why would I when I have no interest in gaming on PC.
Consoles are and will always be 'King' of the Living Space s...
I agree, keep up the good work Spencer rhetoric, the man's done wonders for the Xbox division over the years. But, really, can you not spend more time with your family regardless of Xbox LIVE issues?
Yeah, I kinda got a bit carried away ...lol
I just thought the title was a bit click bait, since so many are criticizing the Xbone lately, and it kinda peeves me /
@Len
No I'm not being defensive, perhaps BB wasn't worth bringing up, since it has nothing to do with, so I apologize.
I was actually defending the Xbox One ROTR sales in my 1st comment given the larger PC user base. ...and I think I misunderstood a point in your 2nd comment. Trust me, I game on both PS4/Xbox One and enjoy them both equally. My bad /
Hate to lay this on ya Len, but Bloodborne was a niche unknown new IP that did over 1 million within 4 weeks on PS4 alone, and after just 1 year of PS4 being on sale. Even Phil Spencer acknowledged the feat...so what was your point again?
Not to mention that 1 million surplus of ROTR includes Xbox One & 360 sales...MS themselves announced they include those platforms numbers together as part of the Xbox Division. Chow Down )
What a Silly Comparison...
PC Gaming market runs into 100's of millions (mix of) hardcore/casual gamer's. Is it really any wonder a game like ROTR would have sold triple in digital sales? Quiet frankly it should have sold a lot higher on both platforms.
A long established global franchise breaking just over a million units on Xbox One is not nearly good enough. Also, given the PC install base, and the fact that that demographic have long purchase via...
I agree, and Doom should be amazing. Halo 5 indeed looks awesome on Xbox One @60fps, so does Forza 6. Mind you, Forza Horizon 2 & Driveclub are both solid 30fps games that are beautiful and very playable, so 60fps although very desirable, isn't the be all and end all.
But anyway, Lol at the one disagree, there's always one idiot. Here, I'll make it two agrees )
@jb227
"I'd prefer to keep the ability to play my sp games offline".
I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to play offline, you just wouldn't get the benefits of cloud enhancements in game, since you obviously would need an internet connection. Surely it wasn't that difficult for you to figure out JB? /
After seeing the Crackdown 3 demo, I'm really intrigued with this tech. It would be great to experience cloud integration in single player/campaign modes, not just multi player.
Also, I'm not sure I'd be totally impressed if cloud enhanced (campaign mode) games are locked behind the Gold Paywall. Just saying /
I agree...
R&C could be the game that brings me back to the platform game genre.
PS4 showing off its excellent (for the price) GPU by imitating Pixar quality visuals. Mark Cerny is a genius for creating such amazing budget hardware )
