"Don't worry about those smaller puddles, you'll enjoy this game from start to finish."
Mic drop. Congrats Insomniac!
For the love of all that's great in gaming, stop making ridiculously pointless comments like this. You're in almost every article saying one or two words.
On topic: The concepts have quite a few similarities with old-school Halo. I'm intrigued!
As long at the open world is done well. Horizon Zero Dawn, the Witcher 3, Monster Hunter etc. are shining examples. I think it will be fun being able to explore the surface, as well as the metro. As a huge fan of the series, I'm excited for this game and I will give the developers the benefit of the doubt.
Please no! I'm completely oversaturated with superhero media. We get dozens of games, movies, and shows every year. I would rather Cory, and other developers, make new and exciting original IPs. Imho
Looks so much like Origins.
My body is ready....
Seriously cannot wait for this game. I love parkour games, zombie games, open world games, looting/rpg games and horror games. Dying light has ALL of these and the sequel looks to be an impressive step forward. Not to mention, the developers are constantly pumping out free content, even years after it's release.
Hats off to these guys and gals.
EDIT: I will say that this preview was completely useless. There'...
Agreed! I'd love to have this in the man cave. By far my most favorite video game character.
I think Jameson just creamed his pants!
While I agree, I can at least say that I give credit to CDPR for staying true to their vision. I actually prefer 3rd person games but I can enjoy a good 1st person game too. They want to increase immersion and gunplay. Keep an open mind.
All of your customizations will show up in cinematics, at least. Who knows, maybe they'll allow us the option to switch to 3rd person.
I really don't understand all the "mehs" and "overhyped" comments. Also, people writing off the game because it's first person is silly. I actually prefer 3rd person games myself, but even I can appreciate a good fps title when I see one. The graphics and visuals of this game are awesome, not the best but that's to be expected. Where this game truly shines is the density of the city. Meaning immersion, npcs, layers of sounds, animations, physics, customization ...
I can see the reviews already
"Couldn't get used to the web-slinging in the first 30 seconds" IGN 6/10
"Everything was fantastic but where is the joker?" Polygon 5/10
"Open-world Spiderman games are over done and I had two QTEs in 3 hours of gameplay = way too cinematic" Gamespot 6/10
Joking aside, I'm predicting a 91 on Metacritic.
@numbskull
You don't have a PS4 so quit trying to download one of the highest-rated games in history.
"Wahhh itz not lyke da uther gadz uf warz"
We're not falling for the concern troll.
I can't believe your parents let you on the internet without supervision.
Lol @ skull
Trying so hard to downplay anything PlayStation.
I can't wait until next gen and there's no power difference and the best looking games are still on PS and he has to switch his rhetoric to something else again.
Leave it to Gangsta to make a comment that makes absolutely no sense in a PS related article. It's obvious that you're trying to diminish the talent and effort put in by insomniac by because it's not in your system of choice.
Grow up man
The screens look amazing and love the time and effort put into the artwork and lore. Looks like we have a gem in our midst.
Or kind of like Xbox gamers that relish in the fact that they'd rather have less AAA games if it means they get to play old games from previous generations.
Mephisto stems from an old German legend that involves a devil/spirit of some kind. I'm guessing this has something to do with Blizzards recent talk of a new Diablo game.
Looks like we have a gem in our midst.
