So much wrong in one comment. The side missions weren't ground breaking but they were definitely varied in mission structure. Everything from defusing bombs, stopping smaller villains, stealth missions, fight challenges, chasing pigeons, helping Harry Osborne, busting gang hideouts, cleaning up the city from pollution, taking pictures, finding missing people, competing science experiments, stopping street crime, race trials, drone trials, car chases, and much more.

Power did absolutely nothing to tip the needles in favor of Xbox. Never has and never will. Also, if your memory works you'd realize that M$ has A LONG history of supporting their consoles in the first 2 years or so and then dramatically declining said support.
