In my opinion, no it's not worth it, nor is it even marketed for the "average consumer." MS themselves called it a niche/premium product suited for a limited market.
If other systems like the PS and Switch weren't available, then it would be a great value. Hundreds of games, entry to 4k, good infrastructure, and comparable to mid range gaming PCs all for $499. Sadly, for MS, that isn't the case.
For the average consumer, most will ...
But wait....hasn't the Xbox narrative over the last year and a half been dismissing the importance of exclusives? We all have seen countless arguments claiming exclusives don't matter and people would rather have slight increase in visuals instead. I find it hard to believe MS, mainly for the fact that they've cried wolf this entire generation. The sports/tv debacle, always online, drm, microtransactions, secret sauce, loot boxes, forced bundled kinect, cloud power, esram is king,...
PS owners don't have time to zoom in 300% to notice the difference in the X1X version. I'm sure PS are happy with dozens of highly rated experiences that can only be found on PS instead. Nice try tho
Look up the definition of Shooter Video Game you moron. Lol This is so funny, yet kind of sad.
She contradicts herself daily.
@knushwood
Don't listen to this moron. She literally thinks Detroit: Become: Become Human is a shooter lol
Delusional comment of the year award goes to..............WOBBLYPOOP
Are you really that delusional that think any exclusive game needs to sell more than 2% for it to be a great game? Your childish logic fails to explain why people aren't selling their PS4s to buy an X1X. You really think PlayStation owners care that you have to zoom in 400% just to notice a difference in quality on the the X? You think they are just going to switch all of the sudden and give up dozens ...
You do realize people have lives outside of game development right? Also, you do realize that Kojima productions has more than just Kojima producing the game right? You do realize that almost every game Kojima has made is right along the usual time needed for games to be developed right? You do realize that....right?
How does it feel to be the laughing stock of critically thinking PS, Nintendo, and Xbox fans in this site? You spew pure hate and garbage and I pity the life you must lead. There are a TON games on this list that are really great games that are critically acclaimed. Maybe if you took a chance to play some of them, a chain reaction could take place and maybe...just maybe, stimulate some brain activity for you. It's worth a shot.
@gangsta
Well it's a good thing that Pachter is seen as a joke by many journalists, critics, and gamers because honestly, who besides a fan boy who won't get to play this game would even give a shit? Even if the game somehow lacks "commercial appeal" it doesn't negate the fact that the game will most likely sell in the millions and have good/great reviews. I'm glad it doesn't have the watered down, numbing "appeal" as games like Desti...
This is some good insight. The game seems fun but to me it seems like a party/socializing game that you play with certain people. I just don't see the long lasting appeal. This doesn't seem to be a good target for the Xbox audience. Shooters, racers, and sports are where most of their fan base lies.
Go away troll
Hate to break it to you, but considering it's tiny reveal, it already has quite a bit of buzz surrounding the game for what has been shown.
Is English your second language?
Nintendo had a lackluster 4 years. Lol
Goddamnit, this is the argument of a 10 year old.
"Wahhh, a super popular, massive, annual multiplatform sold the most so all exclusives don't matter cuz they sold less..."
Do you even realize how dumb that logic sounds? Get a clue ffs!
They could start by releasing more notable exclusives than 2. Stop focusing on BC and the short lived slight graphics bump that they have only for the next year and a half and focus on new experiences. BC and slight visual advantage is great, but if that's all you have for $500 dollars, there needs to be more.
If you have the cognitive functioning of a 12 year old, you're able to easily follow any Kojima game. His stories may be wacky at times, but if you're having trouble following a simple story, then perhaps Call of a Duty might be more up your alley.
Let's ignore all the indictments coming down on his administration...over 20 so far, with the next one his son in law most likely. How long do you think it will be until they get to Trump?
2017 was a horrible year for Xbox. Halo Wars 2 and Cuphead(sold better on steam than xbox). Also, Xbox sales are considerably down from last year. The console is losing momentum amazingly fast and MS couldn't even win ONE month in ONE country even with new hardware. Please tell me...
To your point on the game chat, can't you just have your friends in a party chat and talk to them that way? That's what I do with my friends anyway.
